Had to travel to Novi instead of Westland as it seems Westland never has the computer I want (this is my 4th) anyway THE COOLING FAN IS LOUD and I contacted HP the Tech was very thorough and he checked my system on my brand new computer and he had to update the system before we checked for the noise,,, end result computer handled better and so far no more jerky cursor,,, the fan has to be replaced and I talked to BB and the guy at Geek Squad said THEY ALL MAKE NOISE,,,, but that is NOT SO as the tower they had on display was running and SILENT...this is my first computer which has the AMD CHIP instead of the Intel.....so far I think Intel is a tad better...

Am a veteran computer user and former tech since the mid 1980s. Bought this to replace "grandma's" computer. Seemed perfect for low budget, simple swap. Got home, booted up, set up username, uninstalled McAfee antivirus (because I don't like it). Rebooted. Installed Windows updates automatically including the anniversary update. Not once did I go to any website other than to download Apple iTunes and install. Rebooted. All ok, windows open fast and wifi good. Left on for about 2 hours doing nothing. Came back to computer off, even though I set power options to stay on all times. Turned on and got a blue screen hardware failure. Attempted to restore using Win10 various options, no luck. HP recovery image was not found and could not be fixed. Returned and exchanged for a slightly more expensive Lenovo. Staff were very nice, except for the crabby security lady at the exit....

Quicker than what we had, still could use some zoom

Not that special, but can handle light duties, ie office email etc.

This was a very reasonably priced computer. Setup was easy as well. Then came time to update Windows on this PC then the computer would become frozen in limbo. It would work again after a forced restart. For a time it will work okay, but eventually it would have to update the Windows and the stress would start back up again too. Maybe this was a fluke I don't know, but it's past the return policy and Best Buy won't exchange it. This has been a bitterly frustrating experience thanks to HP and Best Buy.

Windows 10 is not friendly . if you like a challenge , go for it . It was hard for me to set up .

I went to bestbuy on my birthday and I was super excited to get a new gaming pc that is until, some guy advised me for this pc for gaming it was the worst pc ever and I'm returning and getting a new one off of amazon. Horrible purchase for gaming...

We bought this to replace an old, slow computer. We certainly didn't get a good replacement. Out of the gate, this PC has 100% CPU and Disk Usage. It's not even got capacity to run the internet effectively. We're not gamers. We're not even trying to stream. My 82-year-old mother just wants to check her email, Facebook, and write a few letters. She won't be doing it long on this computer because it drives her nuts. DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER if you are going to use the internet. Just don't.

Bought this unit because it was on sale, brought it home and set it up, within 30 mins I had already had to hard reset twice. Couldn't even access the task manager. I was only trying to open the internet, not run 50 programs at once. I thought maybe I had gotten a bad unit so I went ahead and exchanged it. I am now about to return the replacement unit as it appears this computer is incapable of the most basic of tasks. Would not recommend.

Bought this on July 4. Started it up a few days later after I backed up all my files on the old computer to install on this new one. First of all, I noticed it actually loaded programs slower than my 6 year-old dual core. It took a while to get going, then I put in the cd for the virus protection...and NOTHING happened. Tried to load a music cd, still nothing. Went into manage devices and the computer didn't even show a CD/DVD player. Could not get it to play anything. This piece of junk was a total waste of time. It went back to the store.

I bought the HP Pav 510 today and unpacked it and the screen kept going blank . So I took it back to the store and exchange it for another one . And I get the second one home and it does the same thing only worse . This is the third HP product I have returned this month . One laptop and these two desktops . I would not recommend this product to anyone. But the people at the store was wonderful .

took it out of the box plugged it it in, noticed a low frequency humming noise.Has a power connector like a pair of computer speakers? The last 2 computers i had were hp and they worked fine had to return this one.

Do not buy this! When it decides to work it is slow slow slow. Mostly it does not work. I cannot wait to return this awful black box. I will never again purchase an HP product. The only reason It got one star is because zero was not an option.

I like others, had a problem with the power source on the day I bought unit home. Unit would not start or would shut itself down. Geek squad exchanged model for a new one and the same thing happened 1 week latter. I did a full refund and the staff understood as they had other issues with this model.

Slow slow slow on purchase, reset and still issues. Worst computer I've ever purchased and not to mention the exported customer service that you can't understand! Thank god for Best Buy allowing me to exchange for a dell!

I only surf the internet and use Word and Excel. Even for what I use this for, this thing slower than h@##. Sorry I bought it.

This computer is a low end laptop in a desktop tower. I will be returning it.
