Good PC for casual use

Good Computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This HP i7 computer is 12 GB with a 2 TB hard drive. But the cd/dvd burner is mounted vertically, not horizontally, as with most computers. It is also Windows 10, but not much preloaded software.

PC fan is a bit noisy

I keep my pc turned on at night and I can hear the fan motor in the background. Not really noisy but it is noticibly there. I would refund it but I don't know of a better or similar desktop out there for $500 so I guess I will just have to turn it off at night and just accept what I bought.

Want A Noise Machine!?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the other reviewer mentioned, this machine is excessively loud and creates a wall of sound that is almost blinding. Measured at over 50db at idle - I've never owned a PC this loud..ever. From the moment that first woosh occurred at startup, I knew I had made a poor purchase. I downloaded all of the updates hoping something could improve...no such luck. What's worse is that this machine doesn't seem to exist in the HP universe. So no matter what you try, HP support is non-existent b/c you can't even get to support without a valid product number. I'm supposing it's a special model for Black Friday but I'll be returning this item and I'm disappointed in that. It was a good value, for the deaf. I'm sorry.
