Great laptop but bad HDD

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend purchasing this laptop but I would be weary of the versions that come with HDD instead of SSD. Originally bought this product in 2014 and in about 2018 the HDD failed out of nowhere and I lost all of my data. I figured maybe it was because of age so I went ahead and bought this newer version in 2019 and again the HDD failed a year later. I believe the HDD isn’t good quality in these. If you do purchase this I’d highly recommend getting the one that comes with SSD or installing your own. If not definitely make sure to back up your date periodically

HP laptop

I do not know if this is the computer or the OS but it takes forever for programs to load and has been this way from the beginning. I have not added much on since the purchase and use my IPad way more because it is so faster. Maybe the processor is just slow. I hope to upgrade to Windows 11 as Windows 10 has been a big disappointment! XP was by far the best OS Microsoft ever put out!

It is user friendly and easy to navigate. The SSD memory saves a lot on battery life when not plugged in. Using it as a tablet is kind of cool too.
