It's casual use at best, and totally unusable at worst. You could get some basic functionality like browsing simple web pages, but its specs, especially the RAM and drive speed, are too limiting to get quick response times that can put a serious damper on any sort of productivity or even basic use. In my limited time with it, I couldn't get the computer to do anything at all without it hanging or almost stopping completely, including removing extraneous software, which the syste didn't have much of to begin with. While you could upgrade it like some users have in order to get it up to speed, for me, I would rather simply pull a new, working machine out of the box like I would expect a new product to do. I couldn't use the machine without getting frustrated and reset it after about an hour to prepare it for return. I replaced the computer with a more powerful model HP pavilion with 8GB RAM, SSD, and core i3, and I was much happier.

Vivid colors on the screen, light weight makes it easy to carry.

Love this computer. It’s small and compact but it really works well. Enough space for what I need.

I have been doing a lot of traveling by air, I have the bigger HP model for processing photography, but it's a pain to travel with it's so large and heavy. This one was the perfect travel companion! It's small and light and transferred all my information like a charm. While I'm away it's easy to pay bills, answer emails, messages and all my information online or on the cloud! I think I might just buy another one for my son!

The computer was super slow and it kept freezing. It was not my internet connection because I have the fastest speed. It took a few minutes just to open up the internet browser. I bought this computer for school work and it took me well over an hour to complete an assignment that should’ve only taken me about 20 min to complete. Not worth the $400

I was thinking I would spend more but I was able to get a great deal the night of Thanksgiving

Haven't used the new laptop enough.to give it a comprehensive review; Purchased it for a specific reason -- an out of town trip -- that is still yet to come. So far it has been fine.

Great for work and home use. Touch screen very helpful and great memory and decent speed.

Small, cute and wonderful. I use it for light tasks like MS Office and web browsing.

Slowest laptop I ever purchased. Everything takes forever, even simply starting it up takes about 2 minutes. Webpages take about 10-20 seconds load it freezes constantly. This was right out of the box. I should have taken it back, but i never did...huge regret buying this. This is definitely my last HP product. I now buy custom.

So much hesitation in this laptop it unbelievable! So slow, not happy with it.

I haven't had this laptop for very long and only use it for regular tasks (no gaming), but it has the features I need at a good price and it has been working great so far.

I needed to pickup 2 of these for work purposes so I wasn't looking for anything special. That being said, there's a lot of bloatware and excess "garbage" that slow these down dramatically. They're already limited in specs to begin with and just trying to boot it up can be tiresome. At the PC/tablet entry they're trying to attract it's better just getting a surface or iPad and calling it a day. Nice try though, HP.
