Good for price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to wait a few months before posting my review. First off, it is a beautiful laptop. Small and thin. Design is A+. Now, at first the laptop speed was good. After a couple weeks the speed dropped. The most internet browsing I do is check email and maybe youtube. My main purpose of the laptop was to transfer and organize my photos and videos. It does fine with that so I guess I can't complain too much. This laptop would be best for someone who isn't expecting to game or do heavy browsing because you would probably be wasting your time and money. But if you do decide to purchase this, definitely uninstall all the unnecessary programs.

Low RAM makes computer painfully slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great portable size and weight, good display and keyboard, decent build quality, long battery life. Processor is acceptable for this price but the RAM is too small. Can not multitask at all- computer becomes slow when running just chrome, practically unusable when running chrome and Microsoft word. Can upgrade the ram to address this issue but disassembly is difficult. Laptop upgrading not user friendly at all.

Looks Great Runs Slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love this little laptop. I bought it on a business trip because I forgot my work laptop at home and needed something I could present to a client on. I chose this over a Microsoft Surface Go because the keyboard for the Go would have been another $100. Big mistake. Pros: It's pretty. The keyboard has a nice feel to it. The touchscreen is perfect. Capability to use a pen. Speakers are pretty good for a small laptop. Cons: Way too much bloatware. Network manager software causes constant disconnects in an office environment. Extremely slow. Processor power is very weak. RAM (4gb) is constantly overtaxed on simple processes. Honestly, HP should be ashamed of themselves for this one. Maybe their higher tier 2-in-1 modular laptops are better, but after this one I wouldn't spend a dime to find out. My 4 year old Chromebook that cost half as much as this machine runs faster. This reminds me of the HP Netbook Mini with the Atom processor that they released back in 2009-ish with a proprietary OS in addition to the Windows 7 OS. That thing was a complete dog when it came to doing more than just starting up. Apparently HP hasn't learned from that mistake.

Pink tech
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for my niece. Also, for the size and the 2 in 1 tablet. It comes with window 10. She use it for school and for pleasure for watching movies. It is worth the price . The storage capacity is good for the price.

Okay for the price range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not my primary computer at home. I like the 2 in 1 feature and the fact it is a touch screen. I was concerned about 4GB of RAM, but for what I use it for, it is fine. The biggest CON for this is the built in WiFi is terrible. It keeps disconnecting all the time. I finally put in a Netgear and running it through that now without any problem. Too bad I had to sacrifice one of the USB slots though.

Excellent for price and size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a fully functional PC for travel to download photos, send e-mails and Web surfing. I also wanted a backup for my 17 inch laptop that could load MS Office without choking. This was the only reasonably priced 11 inch laptop with 500 mg of hard drive space, full size HDMI port, AND 3 USB ports. The only port it doesn't have is for Ethernet cable, but I ordered an adapter that works just fine. I gave it a 4 because the screen would be better if it were more anti-reflective. Otherwise, I am very happy with the product.

Great for doctoral students
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer three weeks ago for my increase of school work. The label on this computer said, "powerful lap top that makes multitasking easy and fast." I was looking for a portable and powerful laptop that can keep up with me during one of the most important research weeks of my life. This laptop met all of my academic expectations. It starts up fast, multitasks easy, the touch screen makes research highlights and zooming fast. This little laptop even allows me to do my homework on the train to and from work with the long battery life. I highly recommend it for any college student. I love it!

Good choice for basic computing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop for my 7th grader to use at school everyday. This computer does the trick. It almost looks like a little macbook which I find kinda humorous. The unit seems to be of decent quality. Set up was easy, although my daughter had issues connecting to the WiFi at school. I have had good luck with HP products in the past and I am hoping for the same with this unit.

You still get what you pay for
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this computer over a year. I'd like to consider myself fairly computer savvy. I have replaced a touch screen in an old laptop and I've replaced components in my desktop. My 6 year old desktop still runs better than all the new computers at my job that IT people set up. That being said, I still deal with this computer being painfully slow. Anytime I buy a computer that is a pre-build, I uninstall the junk software like McAfee and install my own software. This computer is PAINFULLY slow and the RAM will still run at about 50% even when there's not much actively running. Programs will stay frozen for a long time. I'm constantly having to purge to get this thing to run. After I've had it on for a little while and gone through all my cleanup, it runs ok but still not the best. Out of all the laptops I've owned, this runs the CPU and the Graphics the coolest. It doesn't get as hot as some prior laptops I've used. The touch screen is pretty responsive. It does work with some battery powered stylus, but the screen also detects hand touch so it's not really ideal for using to "draw on" in photoshop which is disappointing. Pros: lightweight and portable Sturdy hinges Runs cool Cons: Touchscreen ultra sensitivity Runs very slow after every startup - even after optimization

Terrible Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought it would be a good latop but it isn't it caused me a lot problems. First the screen would go black when I signed in, my bluetooth wouldn't function, I couldn't respond to messages in the action center of my computer because they wouldn't show up on my computer. I also have a problem with ghost touching on my laptop and updates wouldn't install. The worst part of all is I can't get it fixed anymore since my warranty expired and I can't extend my warranty on my device because they don't carry this device on their website

Touchpad!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than being slower than molasses this is the worst touchpad in history. When it said pentium processor (a term not even used anymore) I guess they meant 1995 surplus because that’s about how fast it is

Do not waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer a year and a half ago and it started out seeming like it was going to be okay other then it loading slow, fast forward a year and a half and out of no where my computer would not turn on. Took it to a shop and they said the mother board on the computer was broken and needed to be replaced. After HP quoting me $460 to replace (the computer didn’t even cost that much) I now have a computer that will not turn on at all and isn’t even two years old! Though it wasn’t a super expensive computer to begin with I thought HP made better quality technology then that.

Fizzled in a day
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this laptop for school use. As soon as I opened the box and started it, it was extremely slow. The hinges on the screen seem extremely cheap, and I'd worry that the wires inside are bending. Within the next day, the computer was scrolling up and down by itself. The next day, the screen started flashing like a strobe light. Returned the next day. Additionally, tablet mode isn't very functional as when you're using it, the keyboard is on the back and the keys are being pressed against your hand or desk.

After two months, nearly unusable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this laptop about 2 months ago and it has gotten to the point where it's nearly unusable. Besides the speed being unbearably slow, the wireless is constantly disconnecting. I've put this laptop next to a surface pro and the internet speed is night and day and the surface pro never loses internet connection. I purchased to make work easier and the only thing it's doing is making my work harder, dealing with the hit and miss internet connection and terrible performance.

Sorry I purchased this.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.More than slow, frequent freeze ups, wifi pickup poor. I have an ASUS notebook this was to replace which can pick up wifi and retain connection just fine, but the HP cannot do so even while in the same spot. Reading some other reviews, I am trying to delete unnecessary programs to see if that will speed things up. I am over the 15 day return policy for Best Buy, otherwise would return and get another laptop. This is my first HP, also my last. .
