    An OK Colored Controller

The Afterglow Wave is an ok controller. It functions fine with the Switch. I like that it easily connects wirelessly without any additional dongle. It's just as responsive as the factory one. Right out the gate it looks really cool with the lighting effect. You can switch between the 4 presets without downloading the app. Feels good and ergonomic in the hands. It has a long lasting battery. I played Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Freeze. I couldn't get the motion to work with Mario Kart. Playing Donkey Kong for less than 30 minutes made my thumb start to get sore on the joystick. I'm disappointed that the rubber is harder and rougher than the factory controller. I was close to getting a blister from a short amount of play. PDP claims this controller has a textured non-slip grip but it's still very slippery. I would of expected something more rubberized not just slippery plastic. I didn't really play any games that would utilize the programmable back paddles but I often accidentally hit them. I suppose I'd recommend this. If you don't typically have issues with getting blisters during gaming then this might not be bad. The color adds some pizzazz to your gaming for sure so I really like that. I just wish there were more quality materials used.

It’s a decent controller little pricy though feels good, hard to understand how to map the back buttons and tgey are really the only reson I’d suggest getting this over the official pro controller granted the switch 2 now has a official pro with back buttons however $30 more so in that regard fair price. But it being closer to normal pro it’s harder because yes no back buttons but you get amibo reader on pro not this only useful if you really play breath of the wild or tears so overall if you dont care about amibo suport id say good buy if you do yes you lose back buttons but pro granted i did call out new pro having both but add that $30 extra for best of both
