So much easier to start a movie lol! Using the controller usually means asking one of my kids for help. This remote makes it so I can watch a movie without asking for help.

Perfect remote for watching movies or tv. Controls Bose surround sound and cable box. Perfect solution and works better than expected. The backlit buttons are an added bonus.

This remote is nice, sleek, and can do everything I need from a remote, with just enough touches to let me do everything I need on my Xbox. Great product!

This remote is an absolute must have if you use your Xbox as an entertainment center. Since we "cut the chord" our Xbox is mostly used to watch shows and movies.

The remote works very good for the Xbox One. It is more convenient than using the Xbox One controller when navigating through media apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.

I love this remote - it has all the options I could need and the backlighting is great for using in the dark. Very useful device if you use your XB1 for Netflix or Vudu!

have my direct tv plugged into my xbox and having this remote makes a lot easier to move around and change channels and not have to use other remotes.

This has been a great addition to my box and great too have, I use it on a daily basis. I highly recommend grabbing one of these.

You have to firmly press down on the buttons sometimes which I feel it's going to stick sometimes. It lights up when you pickup the remote and is a good sub for the controller since it's always on

We purchased this remote about a year ago and compared to the official Xbox media remote from Microsoft, we really appreciate the additional buttons. The number keys especially come in handy at times. The only thing this remote does not do well would be internet browsing on Microsoft Edge. Other than that, we love it! As far as build quality goes, overall this remote seems to be the same quality as the official Xbox Media Remote from Microsoft. In saying that, the look and feel is the same, but the plastic cover on the back breaks pretty easily. Over time we just got used to the fact that it doesn't latch on anymore.

I got this so I didn't have to keep cutting my controller on when I wanted to pause a movie or just do something quick on my Xbox. It works great.

I use my xbox one to stream nhl and mlb apps. Much easier and more convenient than using controller. A plus for movies as well. I have Xbox one s and it is compatible

This is what the Xbox One Media Remote SHOULD have been. This is much more useful, and has all of the functionality you need without having to use the controller.

My controllers are wired and custom so it was always a pain to operate the controls when watching a movie. This media remote works wonderful.

Highly recommended remote for console media apps like PLEX, NETFLIX, YouTube, etc. Good feel to it and keys are back-lit. Perfect! I bought 4 of them.

Reasonably priced remote that allows me to control my xbox blu ray viewing like a human being instead of having to use the controller.

Kept saying I was going to get a remote for my xbox to watch my movies instead of the controller..should have done it a long time ago. Love it!

This is an okay remote. Nothing fancy. It would be better if it were Bluetooth. The backlighting that comes on when moved only stays on for about two seconds which means you have to shake the remote to see the buttons in the dark.

I bought this to replace using the controller for media type functions. Works great and the family including my 7 year old had no issues figuring it out.
