I had used the original Microsoft remote and a couple third party ones, and they all just stink. This one blows them all out of the water and it connects to my soundbar too, which is a plus. I use this for everything so I don't waste my controllers batteries.

This remote did a great job, until my dog got a hold of it. I had it for a year and never had an issue with it. In fact, my dog just ate my last one, and I replaced it again with the same one. Only recommendation, need to work on my dog.

Love this remote for my xbox one x. This remote has the ability to change channels on my cable box while it’s connect to the Xbox one. It also has great functions for blue rays or any other media you are trying to watch. Worth the money great buy.

In my honest opinion, this is way better than the original ms xbox version. It has more buttons a better size, and it even has a motion sensitive sensor that back-lights the remote as soon as you pick it up so you can see everything in the dark.

i enjoy my remote, BUT the buttons stick really badly. It doesn't always work and it's NOT the batteries. If the buttons didn't stop working i would 5 star this. but i paid 20 bucks for a remote that sometime works.

I bought this one for my son and he loves not having to turn on his controllers to watch YouTube and media apps. I personally like the microsoft one better as it is smaller and shuts down when not being used and lights up when moved.

The remote and it's features that it has are good. I also love the design and feel of the remote. However the only cons I found was I couldn't control the volume. Also I wished it had an option to turn on or off the TV. But overall it's good.

this remote has been a life saver for me. We run everything through our Xbox One and I hated using the controller every time I wanted to watch a show. I was so happy when I stumbled across this. It was well worth the money spent.

I use this remote daily. We run everything through the XBOX ONE so this is essential. The only down side it that the navigation pad can wear out. I'm on my second remote in five years... but then again, I use it all the time.

Very nice remote with a finish that isn't slick, giving the operator a better grip. It also lights up with slight movement making it very easy to make key selections. Wish all remotes were like this. $10 less than the other option that doesn't have these features.

Bought this for 4K Blu ray playback on Xbox One S. works as expected and love that i can power on and power off the XB1 with this. I don't use this as a universal remote as some others do so not a con for me if i can't program this with my TV or surround sound.

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend and it turned out to be one of his favorite gifts. We use the Xbox to watch movies frequently, so this is perfect...it even controls the tv volume and channels. Perfect, I expensive gift for any Xbox user.

Controller lights up when sensing motion wich is awsome, because most of my xboxone use is at night or in my basement. This remote is IR though so it doesn't go through walls like the game pad does. Remote has a soft rubber type feel to it not hard plastic.

With only two remotes available, this is the better and less expensive of the two. There are a lot more features than the XBOX branded remote that make it a lot more usable when viewing media. The drawback of both remotes is that neither would allow me to control the volume on my TV.

This remote is great. It has a nice feel and the buttons illuminate everytime the remote is lifted for better visibility. I would recommend this for anyone tired of constantly turning on and off the controller when using video apps on their Xbox One.

This remote has more features for less money. Makes it the right choice in my book. Two issues: 1) it does not control the sound on my TV. 2) the sensitivity of the motion sensor for the light-up buttons seems too sensitive. The buttons light even if I nudge the table it is sitting on.

Really like the feel of it, does everything I would want it to except you can't turn off the pop up menu when you push a button. It lights up for a couple seconds every time you tilt it as well could be helpful to see it but could be annoying as well.

This is the best remote for use with the One Guide features of the Xbox One. It illuminates when picked up and has a number pad on it. However, it has had problems controlling DVR features on the cable box. The control has a record button which can only begin recordings and nothing else.

The remote does not seem to connect to the xbox all of the time and even when it does, you sometimes have to be located within 5 feet of the xbox for it to work properly. When it works as intended, it does a great job.

This remote seems more substantial than the Microsoft one. I don't have my hdmi from the cable box going through my Xbox, so volume cannot be controlled, that's my biggest gripe. I still need tv remote handy. Works well, nice layout and better than trying to use controller as remote.
