    Having decided to make the foray into getting a smartwatch (and getting burned by the bargain basement stuff you find in the deep recesses of the Internet) I decided on the original Pebble as the most cost-effective entry. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of an Apple Watch, it actually connects to an iPhone and does what it says it does (as opposed to the knockoffs I've tried previously). Therein of itself is my key factor in the high score. App-wise, you've got a pretty good selection to choose from on the Pebble storefront, with apps to cover most everything you can think of (from sleep monitors to drink trackers) and then some. I also love going through the watchfaces and seeing what people come up with.

    It's prefect for what it is-- a watch that tells me what's going on with my phone. It lets me read texts and emails, that's all. I wasn't looking for a $200+ watch with a touch screen and all that. I just wanted a watch that could let me leave my phone on my desk and keep me informed. I can look at it and decide if I need to reply to a text or take a call. It's simple, but it's perfect for that!!!
