    Best watch I've bought!!

Okay come on $150 for a watch, if you go buy a Rolex all it does is tell time and you spend thousands. Of course you can't reply from the watch but the fact that you can receive text, calls, emails, Facebook notifications, etc it is already amazing! I'm an athletic guy and I never wore a watch but after I saw this I do everyday!! It says it last 5-7 days but I've only gone 3 days because I charge my phone every night so I just charge my watch with it! $150 for a watch that can do a lot more than tell time it is worth it!

I had it for 2 days and it began freezing and constantly had to refresh it. I ultimately returned it and just got the Apple Watch I looked at first!

Don't bother, it is a complete waste of time. It quit working after 4 hours and went completely dead. Unrevivable. Nice idea but absolutely not workable.

    Good Smart Watch

The Pebble Smart Watch does a pretty good job with notifications. The problem I have is that it notifies me of Email that I receive from all Tabs from my Gmail account, even when I have the notification for them disabled within my account. When you receive a text message or Email, I'm able to view them, but once I go back to the clock screen, the messages are gone forever. There's no going back to read them again. It doesn't keep a history of incoming phone alerts. I'm able to view the incoming calls as they come in, and I'm able to dismiss the alert. If I don't look at my watch right away as the call is coming in, I won't know who the call is from because it doesn't have a call log history. The backlit display wasn't as bright as I would have liked. It made it somewhat difficult for me to read the text because my eye-site isn't the greatest. This won't be an issue for most people. The vibrate motor is excellent. You won't have to worry about missing any notifications. There are quite a few 3rd party apps and watch faces. I found a few 3rd party notifier apps that I used to replace the default one. They had a lot more features, but there were times when they would cause my Pebble to reboot. Overall it's a pretty good watch.

It did not have the functions for health things like heart rate, steps, sleep and calories. Fit Bit does a better job. I use my phone for a watch.

I'm always changing from android and IOS so this watch was perfect because it works on both OS. Easy to setup with an app and the battery last 4 to 5 days with normal use, I even think with little use will last for a full 7 days. Very Reasonable Price so well worth it!!

    Much Better Than Expected!

Being a gadget geek, I knew last Winter that I had to have the Pebble. I ordered in February through the Kickstarter program but it's availability through BestBuy cut the wait. First impression out of the box was how great it feels on the wrist and the integration of the screen/plastic into the body of the watch, slick! The clock interfaces are very clever and easy to read and with a flick of the wrist the clock face will light for a couple of seconds. I'm running this with a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the two work very very well together. I'm getting a steady feed of notifications from Comcast mail, Facebook, Twitter and SMS. Pushing apps from the Note 2 to the Pebble is simply FLAWLESS not to mention FAST ! Seriously, I don't know how I got along without the Pebble! I get lots of emails and texts on a daily basis and I'm constantly pulling my Note 2 out of the hip worn holster to see what's going on ..... this has all changed since I got the Pebble. Just last night I was out to dinner with a friend when I got a text message and read it to him, he was like "wait a minute" your phone is over there, did you just read that from your watch !?!?!?!?

    Does What I Expected

I waited to review this product until I'd had it a while to make sure that I didn't experience any of the issues that some of the other reviewers seemed to have had. So far, it's excellent. I am thoroughly enjoying my Pebble! It is doing exactly what tech reviews and ads said it could do- delivers notifications in a subtle manner when I can't be grabbing for my cell phone, allows me to control my music playlist from across the room, keeps me up-to-date with the weather, and gives me an average of 6 days between charges. I haven't downloaded a lot of the related apps that are available for the Pebble because the few that I have meet my needs, but it seems like there is an effort by third-party developers to get a few out there (at least for android). Of course, an ultimate smartwatch has more features than what Pebble currently offers (color touchscreen with a long battery life, ability to make video or voice calls of high quality, etc.). Realistically, though, no developer is going to get it 100% right on the first few models. For the money and the features, Pebble is a great first effort! I'm proud to own one, and I plan to gift at least one for Christmas.

First the not so good - I'm over 50.. and its almost impossible to see the body of texts or emails without my glasses - with glasses is fine. Without glasses I CAN see the header, and time - and I can always change to a low vision watch face while I'm sleeping. Driving (without glasses) I have to just make do with waiting till I get stopped and can put on readers - however in that time frame most of the messages disappear. What I Love.. the range from the phone is amazing. It works 3 or 4 offices away from mine.. and it works outside in the parking lot when my phone is in the office. I was NOT expecting that at all. Within the first hour I was able to get a free app (Canvas) that allows me to customize watch faces - and I now have one with time, a picture, and the date. I get lots of compliments on the watch and the custom face.. I love not having to have my phone out on my desk at work. However, because its not immediately at hand all day I have forgotten it a couple times. I'm very technology oriented, and the learning curve for software etc took about an hour of playing around with it - there are not very detailed instructions - but you can use forums etc to find what you have problems with. . I wish it came in something a little more fashionable for women - but by using skins (DecalGirl or Skinomi) you can make it look like you want it to. You can even replace the band with almost any other 22mm watch band. I'm using it for email (Gmail & Yahoo), text messages, facebook alerts, phone call alerts (with caller ID), AM alarm, lunchtime alarm, timer for photography, tracking/timing hikes, walks, and bike rides (with altitude!), and controlling music at work. I'm sure there are a lot of other things I haven't figured out yet. The alerts disappear by themselves - although there are apps that will let you browse past alerts I think..l I know there are for email and texts. There is an update due soon for Android software versions. It does not affect the watch - no change to the watch - but with that android update the functionality will be increased to almost unlimited potential. (the iOS update was Feb 6 - so they are already there) . This was an impulse buy for me.. I was looking at wristband step trackers. SO glad I got this for about the same price.

I bought this watch to use at work. There are several things I like about it. It does not have a stainless steel back so I can wear it without getting an allergic rash. It is water resistant. I work in healthcare and wash my hands a lot. The band, while made of cheap rubber is comfortable and easy to keep clean. The face is customizable. Mostly I leave it on the large numbers, but if I forget the date or need a second hand I push a button and get what I need. I have had no issues with scratching and the battery lasts through my 4 day work week without needing to be charged. It synced easily with my iPhone and every notice I get on my phone I get on my watch. This includes emails, texts, phone calls and even news apps that send me notifications. When I'm driving and get a text I can do a quick glance at my wrist to see if it is anything I need to pull over and deal with. I pair my phone to a Bluetooth speaker while I'm working around the garage and can use the watch to pause or skip songs. This watch is not a thing of beauty, but it's very useful and functional.

Pebble isn't out to set the bar as high as the anticipated Apple watch but the price point is much lower that what is predicted for Apple and what we've seen for Moto. This is a basic smart watch and very functional. Look at the features and decide for yourself if the price difference is worth. And remember that Pebble has been making these for several years, so you're dealing with proven technology.

Best Smart Watch On The Market

I've had my Pebble for 3 weeks now, and I really enjoy it. I work in pathology and wear surgical gloves most of the day. Before I had Pebble, every time I got a text or incoming call it was a pain because I had to take off my gloves, wash my hands, and then see what the message or call was from and whether it was even important enough to warrant me stopping in the middle of a case. Now, all my texts come to my watch and all I have to do is glance at my wrist to see if it is an important text or call, or whether it is just some random "lol" from a friend. This is the best function of the Pebble watch right now. If you work in a place where you cant easily access your phone, or if you work in a place (such as a restaurant or store) where it is against policy to pull out your phone, the Pebble will work really good because as far as anyone knows, you aren't reading a text, you are just glancing at your watch. The downside to Pebble is that right now it's full potential, as far as apps, has not yet been realized. There are a few apps and functions that work well and are useful (particularly if your phone is an Android). Among these is the ability to control your phone's music with your watch (for example if you have your phone docked to your stereo, you can use the phone to control the music) as well as getting reminderrs or calendar alerts on your watch. Also, there are literally hundreds of free watch faces which you can download. However, until iOS7 comes out in a few months, and until developers have more time to create new apps, the main use of the Pebble is getting text messages and caller ID. Lastly, few people like the rubber watch band that comes with Pebble. Fortunately, there are tons of inexpensive standard-size bands you can buy to replace the stock watchband. BOTTOM LINE: If you are an early adopter or a person who loves gadgets, you will probably enjoy the Pebble watch. (Check out the video which shows Pebble's abilities on the main Pebble website: www.getpebble.com)
