    Perfect compliment to my smartphone

The Pebble is the perfect compliment to your smartphone. It works great with my Samsung S3 and I am able to personalize which notifications I want to receive by using Pebble Notifier. The basic Pebble app is great but the additional apps out there make this smartwatch even more exciting to play with. I have used it in the shower and in the pool for hours without any issues. Any sports fan will love the notifications you can send from the ESPN Scorecaster App. I did not experience any of the issues that others had with their screen breaking. Mine has been used quite a bit everyday the past 2 weeks.

    Great watch for early adopters!

I got one of the lucky watches that works perfectly. I got a scratch proof Skinomi screen protector (like invisible shield) and applied that right after I got it so I don't have to worry about scratches. I am loving the text and call notifications from my iPhone 5. The haptics is easily felt on my wrist and the watch faces are just beautiful. I hope if you decide to buy this watch that you get one that works like mine. I've been using this watch for 2 days now. I also got the protection plan just incase.

I love seeing all of the negative reviews. I'm going to guess that most people haven't really given it a chance. I got mine in May, and I love it! It sends text notifications and more! What not to love about it. Customer service is slow, but i dont know what else to expect... the CS is crazy busy! Give them a chance. If you had a company with over 100,000 orders, you would be stressed too. Great product! I plan on getting another!

    Short on delivering it's promise

Returned after only 4 days. While as a basic "smart" watch it did function well for the price, the design has a lot of room for improvement. The biggest flaw, and if you google it you will find it is a major one, is the charging cable design and quality. It is a soft magnetic connection that you have to find the perfect position to keep from detaching. It contains two small magnets and two small pins. They do not make good solid contact. On the first day it charged after several attempts. On the next couple of days it would not charge at all. Great concept, poor execution.

Bought this yesterday 2 March, 2014 after returning the Samsung Gear Watch. The Pebble works great and was easy to set up. I also like the fact that I can use this Pebble Watch with both my Iphone and my Samsung Note. I also like the fact that it is Waterproof which the Samsung Gear wasn't. Good price for an excellent Smartwatch.

I'm pretty impressed with Pebble; my neighbour backed them on Kickstarter so I've been following it for a while. Easy to use, most glitches can be fixed by just restarting the watch, and I love the update frequency

    Pebble watch-junk

I purchased two of these watches, one for myself and one for my wife The first thing we noticed is they do not properly pair with Apple cell phones. Then came the real fun when the battery gave out on mine and I tried to report a claim. Instructions from Pebble are that I obtain an RMA number and then send the watch in for warranty work. I sent an email into pebble per their instructions on their website to obtain an RMA number. What I got back was an email (two weeks later) telling me that they were very busy handling new customers and I would have to wait. Two weeks after that, I received another email giving me some silly instructions on what I could do to fix the problem. None of them worked. I did not receive an RMA number and I did not receive any instructions on how to obtain warranty work. Pebble and it's watches are complete jokes. The graphics are horrible and most of the apps don't even work properly. I returned to Best Buy and purchased an Apple Watch for myself and my wife. The difference in quality between Apple Watch in the pebble is phenomenal. The resolution on the Apple Watch blows Pebble away. Also, you can make phone calls on your watch and you can use Siri to do just about anything you can do on your iPhone. Don't waste your money on a pebble toy. Get a real smart watch either Apple or Samsung which I understand is also very good. Finally, Apple has one of the best service departments in the country. If you have a problem with your watch you can actually talk to a live human being or go to the Apple store and they will fix it for you or get you another watch.

I bought the watch, set up was a breeze. Set up my notifications within a couple of minutes. Haven't missed a call, text, or email. I've had no quality complaints. Can't wait for more app development!

More Potential Than There Is Utility

I purchased a black Pebble Smartwatch after reading about its successful Kickstarter campaign, and several of my favorite review sites recommended it. The product does a great job doing what it advertises. It tells you the time, it tells you your text messages (and if you're on Android, it tells you almost every notification your phone could possibly get), and it shows you your e-mails. The problem I had was that, quite frankly, it was useless to me. I work mostly with my clients face-to-face and I thought it would be easier to get important texts by glancing at my watch without rudely pulling my phone from my pocket. My goal was achieved, however clients then thought I was clock watching so I quit looking at my watch altogether. As for now, the app choice is minimal (not Pebble's fault. They need more developers onboard), although I did enjoy a game or two of Snake on my smartwatch. All in all, I just didn't feel that a device designed for utility and convenience actually provided me with MORE convenience and utility than a smartphone already is. Early adopters: buy and see what you think. Everyone else might want to give this one a pass.

    Great smartwatch

I received this as a christmas gift and couldn't be more pleased with it. At first I had a hard time getting it paired with my cellphone (galaxy s4). But I managed to get it paired without much trouble. And this does exactly what I like it for notifications, texts, and when I get calls. Right now apps and watchfaces are slim but when the app store comes online the selection will improve. And compared to the galaxy gear the pebble is a better value overall. Battery life is ok but could be better. But I just charge it overnight 2 day a week. My routine is to have it on the charger before I go to bed on Wednesday and Sunday. So far the battery hasn't ran out yet. The only improvements they could make is a color screen. But the e-ink display works well as implemted right now. If they were to come out with a color display for this watch I would be one of the first people to upgrade it. So If you are in the market to increase the functioality of your smartphone this is a great way to do it.

Mixed feelings - neat product, has some issues

I really love the idea of this. I think the introduction of the app store and the OS may help things out, but for now, when I get disconnected, I never know if I'm going to have to manually reconnect everything - meaning delete all of my connections and re-pair the device. It's a big hassle. Also, the connection to charge the battery is flaky. I have to wait and be sure that it's truly connected before I walk away. I would have taken a stronger charging connection over being fully waterproof.

    Horrible customer service

I bought this thinking it would be great. Pebble's website boasted all of these great features. Well, I was wrong. I have an iPhone and have owned the Pebble for 3 months. When I got the watch, it had incoming call and text notifications and different watch faces you could add. After owning it for 3 months, there have been updates that give email notifications but nothing else unless you jailbreak. The band that comes with the watch is too small for my wrist. The plastic screen is very easily scratched. Exactly 3 months after purchasing the watch, I noticed that the e-paper display was bleeding. It has never been dropped and the only scratch on it was from the first day I wore the watch. I contacted support (only by e-mail) and got no response. I took to Twitter and within 5 minutes got a response for pictures. I responded less than 5 minutes later and I have heard nothing since. I have emailed them again and sent them Tweets, but no response. In the 3 months that I had it, I would say that the novelty has worn off. Basically I use it as an incoming call notification and text notification. e-Mail notification is too intermittent. It is also nice to be able to twist your arm and have the back light come on. Based on my dealings with customer service, I would never recommend anything from this company.

I recently saw the watch on kickstarter about a month ago, saw they were releasing in bestbuy july 4th-5th. So I went and bought one, Downloaded smartwatch+ for ios jailbroken in cydia and The watch is doing great, only downside is the oily smudge inside the screen when outside in I guess weird lighting. other then that love the watch well worth 150. anyone whos having trouble just wait for more stock and stop complaining cuz u got a dud out of the millions being made right now.

The watch is good and keeps getting better with software updates. I have had mine since March 2013 and have worn it every day since. It lasts about 6 days for me on one charge. It is completely readable in bright sunlight. It displays all my Run Keeper information when I run.

    HOW ABOUT A BIGGER SCREEN

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've had my Pebble for about a week now. I travel 48 weeks out of the year and constantly have to pull my phone (Droid Maxx) out to review emails, txt messages and phone calls (Bluetooth headset). Its a great device for notifications and not having to constantly pull my phone out and unlock it to get my emails and txt messages is nice. My only big complaint is that the watch face is SOOOO SMALL. I've been a tech head most of my life (No hardware or software expert) but user and know whats fits my busy lifestyle. I read an article the other day and it basically stated that most users who can afford the latest technology are over 40, well guess who the majority of people who start to need glasses, reading glasses etc. How about a bigger interface for the over 40 generation who is buying this technology for various reasons (Mine is business). ITS SO SMALL ! I'm thinking about taking mine back until the next generation Pebble comes out. Hopefully it'll have a bigger screen. The last thing I have to manage is my Droid battery life. Before the Pebble I could get 16-20 hours out of my battery talking all the time. Now maybe 8 before I have to recharge it. Again, I get allot of txt messages and phone calls but I didn't expect it to drain my phone so fast. I'm on the fence on whether to keep the device, I have another week before I can return it and get my money back.
