I was excited to get my hands on one of these devices. I was finally able to get ahold of a red one last week. The out of the box and setup experience was great. Super simple to get up and running. Unfortunately, after less then a week of use the screen started to look like ink leaked out of it. Best Buy would not accept the return because they said the device had been physically damaged. They do check reviews and forums, and I know I didn't damage mine so hopefully this helps someone else if it happens to them. So while the idea and promise of this device is definitely there, the build quality is not. I may now be stuck with a $149 brick.

Still using them to this day, highly recommend them for anyone.

I want to love this device. I bought it, I babied it, I found it incredibly useful. I get dozens of emails and texts a day, and being able simply to look at my wrist without touching my phone was a blessing. I start forgetting to put on most watches within a week, but Pebble quickly became a tool I wanted to have on me. The concept, however, is marred by very shaky quality. Over the course of two weeks, the screen has begun to develop "bruises," as if it had been put under pressure. (It hasn't.) So long as the screen is dark, they're not noticeable, but whenever I get a message they're clearly, and annoyingly, visible. Sure, the device is still useful, but a fashion item shouldn't start to degrade after two weeks. Especially at this price.

The watch is poorly designed and built. Pretty much broke within a month, with display flicker and distorted graphics. At first, issue was intermittent - now it is permanent. Pebble support suggests reboot and firmware reset, but the issue is hardware failure not software. If you buy it, you're paying for junk.

After waiting so long to finally get the pebble watch I was extremely disappointed because of the quality straight out of the box the screen was great paired really easy with my iPhone 5. And after about 15 minutes the screen started to fade and get pixelated so I thought it was maybe needing a charge so I put it on to charge overnight and when I got up the next morning the screen was still very faint the back light was bright but I would have to hold it at a weird angle to even see a shadow of the screen . So after looking up how to reset it on the web I seen many complaints about this issue so just decided to return it . But I would going to see Louis at the Dearborn store he is always very helpful when I am in there and Felecia at the Allen Park store was very helpful as well with the return process .

I purchased my Pebble (v. 1) through a special at Best Buy and could not be more satisfied. The Pebble easily synched with my dROID Turbo. The only issue when I purchased it was that the watch could host only 8 apps at a time. Pebble has since upgraded the original Pebble from OS 2.3 to OS 3.11. With OS 3+, not only do you have immediate access to the apps loaded onto your watch, but it will dynamically call-up any apps that you have enabled on your smart phone. I'm considering upgrading to the Pebble Time, but this original Pebble is still doing everything I want!

This was a great watch when it came out. The release of Android Wear watches have basically made it obsolete. It definitely has great battery life though. That is mainly because of the type of screen they used. Great if you have an iPhone too I guess.

This watch watch works just right. Easy to set up with my phone.

I got this for work and it works great. It work so great the wife made me get her one. Battery life is an easy 5-6 days. My only complaint is crapple users got the app store and 2.0 firmware before android.

I just had my watch for over 10 days now and I absolutely love it, very useful, never had issues with it, love the third party apps and faces, u can even make faces out of your own pictures or your design.

I've been using my pebble for 2 days now with no issues at all. The amount of watch faces and apps are great and expanding daily. This will be a great product once more devs decide to hop on the band wagon. I might even look I to getting the steel in a few weeks for a more classy looking one :) I like this watch a lot! Helps with a lot of reminders without having to pull my phone out.

I'm an original backer and paid $100. I will tell you what I told my brother-in-law, do not waste this amount of money on this watch. The best thing about it, getting text, mail, phone calls and whatsapp NOTIFICATIONS. Other than that the only other thing is change the watch face, which there isn't enough memory to store. It is a simple watch that honestly should be used by kids. The watch itself is cheap looking, it scratches easily and there is nothing else to it. I would rather wait for the actual Google watch that is in the works. I have nothing against the makers, I am just giving the same warning I tell my friends and family. While they would keep their backers "updated" the owners friends and family would give positive reviews which I suspect are the same ones on here.

I bought the Pebble and used it for a week and returned it. The $130 price is good - but there's another new smart watch out this month in the same price range called the Z Watch by SmartQ and I got one in the U.S. through TabletSprint -- I've had it for 3 days and it offers much more than the Pebble -- I wish Pebble would offer a color screen with touch features -- the Z Watch has this and more, including a full featured MP3 play for music - the Pebble watch only streams music from a smartphone so you can't play music on the watch when you are away from your phone. The Z Watch has a full 1 Ghz processor - Pebble offers only 180Mhz -- and also has twice the battery capacity at 300 mAh - Pebble only 140 mAh -- overall the new Z Watch is a much better product.

Can go days without charging! Does basic necessities alarm view calls text and can even reject call and text and reply through preset text.easy to use and customize

I was fortunate enough to order one via Best Buy's website. Received it on time. Configured it quickly and was very happy. FAIL - 4 hours later the screen died, my understanding a very prevalent manufacturing defect. FAIL - Insufficient inventory at any retail location or online. Only option was to return product for a full refund. FAIL - No timeline or information from manufacturer or BB as to when more inventory will be available. No pre order option available either. Had no problem getting my refund. It is a shame, I believe there is a good product here with great potential but the total LACK of support and forethought is epic.

I tried the Samsung galaxy smart watch but don't like it.I am using with my iPhone 5s after configuring everything right the watch is amazing. I love it!

I purchased a Pebble watch 2 months ago. Watch face scrambled and not readable. Contacted Pebble by email on numerous occasions. Reply email said I would be contacted in 24 hours. First email a month ago. Still no reply or action. I have sent pictures of watch fac, serial number, etc. I tried to return watch to Best Buy. They would not honor my purchase from them. I said I could not get anyone from Pebble to answer me. Don't buy this! You will be stuck with it as Best Buy obviously doesn't stand behind what they sell and Pebble won't honor their guarantee.

I only had my Pebble for about 5 hours before the dreaded static/noise dead screen issue occurred. Google Pebble and "display not working" and you'll find plenty of info. Thankfully I can return mine to best buy but I feel for the poor souls that have to rely on Pebble's nearly non-existent support system. Early adoption is painful but this is clearly an example of a company increasing market share without increasing infrastructure to support it. When it did work, it was pretty cool, if not a little plasticky.

Works great, no issues at all great battery life. No screen issues at all software updates keep coming have had no bugs.
