Owned mine for 6 weeks :)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned my Pebble time for about 6 weeks now and have not gone a day without it since! I have more than 50 watchfaces saved but use just a handful of my favorites on a regular basis. It has become such a helpful tool in my life now, from timing myself for breaks at work to replying to text messages with the microphone. I also use my Pebble Time to control my music player, check for movie times and locations and Yelp really comes in handy on a night out. Although the watch is waterproof, as I have experienced first hand, I now take it off before showering since I easily replaced the stock strap with an embossed leather strap. Now that I have settled into my own routine of use and no longer download multiple watchfaces and apps, the batter life runs between 5 to 6 days on a full charge for me. Pebble has also just released a free firmware update that allows for more options with the backlight, font size and intensity of vibration! I am truly happy I chose Pebble Time and can't wait to see what else is coming from them.

What A Smartwatch Should Be
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though it's not the most advanced watch out there, I think this is a pretty good smartwatch. The thing that made me want this product was the claims about battery life, which Pebble claims is up to 7 days. I get about 5 days from this watch, but that's still longer than most smartwatches that last up to 2 days at most. Of course, that may vary from setting to setting, seeing as I leave the back-light option on, but it sure does put me at ease knowing that won't have to charge two devices at night. The display is also a contributing factor to the battery life, since it's an e-paper display instead of the power hungry LCD screens found on other watches, and the display isn't that bad either. It's readable outdoors and indoors, though the back-light does make the colors washed out a bit. Instead of a touch display, Pebble keeps the four button design that was on the original Pebbles. They take some getting used to, but after that, there's no problems with navigation. Functionality-wise, I think this will be a great smartwatch for somebody getting started with smartwatches, because in my opinion, this watch gives you the bare essentials of what is needed in a smartwatch. Reading notifications is pretty easy on it, and I find it convenient that you can reply to text messages with the watch instead of pulling your phone out. It's also quite useful when thinking about taking a call or not. Overall, for my needs as a smartwatch, this is a good one for people just getting into the smartwatch craze, and it makes some things way more convenient.

Only used for a day
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The display on this watch was sub par. I had the original Pebble and didn't mind the display that much. This seemed so much dimmer that it was hard to see a lot of time. Took it back after a day. The software experience was not too bad but overshadowed by display problems.

Nice Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very good beginners "smart watch". The Apple Watch is far better and has a much better display. If you are looking for a simple watch with smart watch abilities, this will do the trick! If you want higher quality, invest in an Apple Watch.

Wouldn't charge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this at a really good price, but it wouldn't charge right out of the box. I looked online for solutions, and didn't find anything that worked. Bummer, I really think this would have been a nice watch!

Great watch Bad Build Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a fantastic watch. However it chips or scratches way too easy to be worn regularly. The manufacturing has to realize this is a watch. Meant to be worn daily. And it will take abuse. This just won't take it.

Fantastic, comprehensive color smartwatch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not really sure how to approach this - I'm a long-time, hardcore Apple products user - Computers, iPads, iPhones, iPods, Apple TV...but IMO the Pebble Time blows the Apple watch out of the water (literally, considering you can go diving or surfing with it). There are an incredible number of app and watchfaces, battery life is several days when running streaming apps, plus the ability to create custom ones. Unlike silly things like sending heartbeats or touches to other users, the majority of Pebble's apps are actually useful; apps like Misfit are great for health, there are sleep tracking apps, GPS, news feeds, traffic, weather, to-do lists, built-in mic, calendars, messaging (fully capable on Android, and readable on IOS - can be expanded if you jailbreak your iPhone, but I'd rather not - and I think Apple will be forced to open up outgoing messages because of the sheer numbers of Pebble users), email, Evernote, contacts, music & phone controls, even games. And the price is HUNDREDS less than an Apple watch - and for a more fully-developed product. The Pebble Steel is also an excellent value if you don't want color (color is better on my eyes). The Pebble Time is so far beyond what I expected in a smartwatch at such a comparatively low price I can't imagine spending far more for less (and other competitors seem to be vainly playing "me too" - and I looked at EVERY similar product before buying). A tremendous product. I will be amazed at how Pebble tops this!

Happy to support this company again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned an original model of the Pebble for about a year and a half, and really found it useful and enjoyable. I was thrilled when they offered the upgraded OS for free to users of old equipment. They would have been excused for saying it wasn't backward compatible, but they stated that they wanted to show their appreciation for the customers who supported them in the early days, so the timeline feature was made available to everybody. As much as I enjoyed the original configuration, the timeline feature took the device way over the top. I receive lots of emails, texts, and other notifications throughout the day. Being able to see them on my wrist is incredibly valuable for me. Being able to scroll through upcoming appointments, sunrise and sunset, weather, and other stuff is insanely useful. And being able to respond to texts, emails, and phone messages right from the watch is a huge bonus. It's nice to be able to check and respond to incoming messages during business meetings without the distraction of checking my phone. So, while my original Pebble was entirely satisfactory, I was lured by the color and the microphone offered by the Pebble Time. Plus, I wanted to show my support for a company that innovates their products and shows appreciation for their customers. My son has been talking about getting a Pebble, so I gave him my old one after buying a new one. Everybody's happy! I do agree that the colors could be more vibrant, but I knew that coming in. I just use customizable watch faces that allow me to pick colors that stand out. A lot of people say that the Pebble looks like a toy, but I actually like the way it looks - maybe it's a geek-chic thing or just different strokes for different folks, but I actually prefer it to the competition. (Not really a fan of the Steel or Round models, though.) And I actually like the button-oriented approach rather than a touch screen. I have fairly big fingers and can't see the practicality of using them to work with a tiny screen. Add to that the always-on nature of the Pebble and its long battery life and I'm happy to stick with the brand for the foreseeable future. For anybody that wants great functionality at a reasonable price, this is the way to go.

Don't waste your money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my husband and it locked up after 2 weeks of use and had to return it. Thankfully we had a warranty or I would have been upset being out the cost of this watch.
