My husband loves husband absolutely hate the band of this watch. Everyday it starts wearing a raw spot on his arm. He also hates that he can not reply back to a message.

There were many great reviews that I read that influenced me to buy this watch. However, this watch didn't live up to them. Battery life was not as advertised. As time passed the screen quality began going down hill. But the biggest bummer happened when the company sold out to Fitbit in December leaving no support for the pebble line. Now my watch says it requires a newer version of firmware and there's nothing that can be done. Garbage!

If this will be your first smartwatch you can't go wrong with this one. As for me I am coming from the original pebble. There are even incremental improvements from the original. The most notable one being the color epaper display. And the use of gorilla glass and the steel outer case. Where the original pebble was all plastic bezel and scratched fairly easy. This smartwatch will still probably the battery king. As advertised 7 day battery life before needing a recharge. I so far only have managed to get 6 days on a single charge. That is still way better than any other android wear smartwatch where you might only get 1 to 2 days max on a single charge. The silocone wriststrap is alright but could be better. But this smartwatch is also compatable with any other 22mm wriststrap that is out. So it can be swapped out fairly easy if needed. The only real con that I have with this watch is the screen bezel is a little big for the display. And the animation between screens and aps can be a little annoying at times. But overall if you are in the market for a good smartwatch. You can hardly can go wrong with this one.

I have had my pebble time for 3 weeks. It takes a bit of time to learn everything. I am using it with Iphone. First off all Pebble devices get better with time. They are a great company that listens to its customers and always improves on its products and gives updates to the software. I love this watch! It is everything I wanted. It looks and feels great on my wrist. Very sleek. I can see texts and incoming calls on the watch and don't have to dig for my phone. You can get a number of other notifications on the watch too which is great! Just about any notification you get on your phone you will get on the watch. I love being able to control the volume of my music on my phone from the watch and skip forward or backward songs from the watch. I love being able to wear my Bluetooth headphones and control my music and volume from the watch too. There are a lot of apps that you can use with the watch too. Sync with a health tracker apps on your phone, control your thermostat in combo with a phone app, many many other things. I love the ability to switch watchfaces in the blink of an eye. Many customizable faces available on the app and through the web. View weather and temp on the watch face too! Lots of third party watch bands and face skins available to customize it all your own. It takes a 22mm watch band so you can essentially swap it out with anyone you find in a store. Pebble Time with Iphones are missing a few things due to Apples strict software guidelines. As of 6/22/15 Pebble Time for Iphone cannot reply to texts with pre set messages from the watch. It cannot reply to texts with voice replys, and cannot show album artwork on the watch of your music. Pebble is working with Apple to allow these features in the future and update the watches that currently cannot do those things. UNDERSTAND that this is an e-paper display. It looks great in sunlight, outside, or in high light areas and the colors are full. In the shade or at night it can look a little hard to read and colors kinda faded looking. Thats the nature of e-paper displays. If you can understand that you will understand when you see it and won't be disappointed. The ads and pics Pebble takes of the watch are always in high light areas to make it look great. The backlight is good, but doesn't stay on long enough (another update they are working on to increase that time) The watch has a light sensor in it to determine if the back light needs to be on or not when buttons are pushed. The one thing I also thought was poopy is the watch was said to have a 5-7 day battery life. It can but it depends on what apps you are running, the watch face if it has seconds showing, weather, temps, etc. How often you use the back light, scroll through the options etc, etc. I am finding mine to last 4-5 days before I absolutely must charge it again. Something I have no problem doing. It takes about 1.5 hours to charge from a 10% battery. No biggie to me expecially if I charge at night. Overall if you can get past its quirks and feature lacks due to Apples rules at this time it is a fantastic watch! I am very happy with mine.

Since Pebble went out of business, they offer no support. I had called support before they went under and they were shipping replacement parts... unfortunately two days later they went under and now they will not honor the warranty or ship the replacement. AVOID

If you want a simple smartwatch that you don't have to charge everyday, then this is a perfect watch for you. The main reason I purchased it was for the battery life compared to other smartwatches out there. I had a moto 360(1st gen) and the battery life was what kept me from going to the 2nd gen. This watch lasts about a week before having to charge it, which is awesome. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the higher end smart watches, but I get all my notifications, weather, and time, which is all I need. This is a great entry smartwatch if you are new or just want something simple.

    Excellent Option

Overall, this product does what it says. The e-ink is excellent, and is easily readable in the sun. 90% of the time the connection works, and I get my updates. However just like any other device there are a couple hiccups every now and again. The biggest selling point to this product, has to be the battery life. I have been using it for five straight days constantly, and have not had to deal with recharging it. While the apps are currently limited The ability to make your own watch faces is incredible. This product is a phenomenal watch for those that are looking for a long-term replacement for their watch and updating information. Product is constructed well, putting the users comfort in mind. Another great selling feature is that I can replace any band 22 mm that I want. If you are not looking to spend the ridiculous amount of money on an Apple Watch, and want the ability to respond via voice (Android only currently, Apple soon) then this product is right for you.

Great Smartwatch with one or two physical issues

After being a Kickstarter backer and using my watch for close to a month now, I can say that I really do like the watch. There are some features that I would like to see that the others out there have, but there are enough apps to make it worthwhile, the watch is thin enough to make me happy as well. Battery life isn't exactly what they advertise, but close enough. It could be all of the notifications that I get on my phone. The two problems that really bother me though, are the bezel surrounding the screen and the backlight. The bezel is easily marred. Maybe It's just me, but I seem to bump it on just about everything which often leaves a mark. Most have rubbed off, but along one of the edges, the coloring is now gone due to this. Unlike in the pictures, the coloring isn't so pronounced. The backlight does work, but not as brightly as it's pictured in the ads or images online. I've responded to texts using the build-in microphone and I can say that this works well for the most part. It takes a little time to get used to how the functionality works with the buttons, but if you are even a little tech inclined, you can get it to work.

I'm waiting for 2nd or 3rd generation iWatch, primarily because I do not think I would be happy with having to charge the watch every day or so. The Pebble Time lasts, as promised, about 7 days, which is what I'll be looking for in the iWatch 2 or 3. My other objection to the iWatch is it is only rated to about 3 feet in water...not enough for my lifestyle. The Pebble? 30 meters, more than enough. Apple will need to work on that feature also before I will buy. I like that the backlight comes on with a flick on my wrist. The many choices of watchfaces is fun. The current weather icons work well. It buzzes when I get a text or app messages, so I do not have to pull out my phone as frequently. Range to stay connected listed as 30 feet, and it is easily good at that distance, probably farther, depending on obstacles like walls. The watchfaces are fun, but the other apps haven't thrilled me, yet, but that's okay, I was only looking for a good watch to tide me over until Apple "catches up." It is a lightweight watch with a good watchproof band, and at $199, about half of the iWatch, it is a good substitute for the couple of years we will likely have to wait before iWatch 2 comes out.

This is a great accessory with or without your phone connected. I really didn't want a smartwatch that was just a 2nd screen for my phone. I wanted a watch and I wanted to not have to take my phone out all the time or have to have it in my pocket all the time at work. The battery lasts so long, and mine buzzes all day with emails and chat notifications. All the apps available let you do whatever you really need with this watch.

So my biggest gripe was the backlighting on the watch indoors. Well the 3.2 firmware has resolved this, increasing the backlight greatly and resolving the issue. It's a step in the right direction from the original Pebble. I'm very happy with the Time. The animations and new interface are very slick and of course, battery life beats out all of the competition. For those worried based on the reviews of hard to read indoor, it has been resolved! While Pebble is a small company, they work fast to resolve issues and listen to their customer base.

Consistently get 6 days on a charge. Alerts/Reminders at 20% and 10% charge are welcome. Takes about an hour to recharge. Unlike my smartphone, I can read the watch in bright sunlight. Display somewhat muted in darker rooms with backlight but workable for this old-timer. Also love the fact I can shower or swim while wearing my Pebble Time. Added gadgetwrap screen and bezzle protector since reviewers noted the anti-glare coating is subject to scratching etc. Rated a 4 instead of a 5 because of this design decision, requiring additional purchase to protect the watch face and bezel.

Needs Software Update before switching from Pebble

I have been using my Pebble Time now for a month. I still miss my original Pebble's easy reading fonts for incoming caller, text and email notification. There is no Larger Font setting yet on Pebble TIme as with original Pebble. Being a person over 40, I find that I have to put on reading glasses to see who is calling, texting or emailing because the name is so small, although the graphic of a phone ringing is large. This makes the Pebble Time a step backwards for me who got used to glancing at my Pebble watch to see who was calling, texting or emailing. We are promised an update for Larger Font but recent update did not have it. I advise my Pebble-wearing friends to wait until then. Otherwise, the Pebble Time is what the others have said and if the font size would be fixed, I would recommend it immediately.

I purchased this watch simply for wrist notifications. This watch does this and does this well on my iPhone 6. The latest software updates addressed most of my concerns with backlight brightness, vibration, etc. The color display is nice, and the custom watchface I use was designed by myself through the 91 Dub v3.0 app! Pros: Color display, great battery life ( for me at least 4 days even with heavy usage), Native apps and games, short charge time. Cons: iOS limitations with notifications, this is not pebble's fault. You either receive all or no notifications if your using the watch with an apple device. Android users have the ability to pick which notifications they receive. The bezel is easily scratched. However given my line of work ( law enforcement) this is acceptable to me as I scratch up every watch I wear. This is my first "smartwatch" and I am pleased I chose the pebble over the Apple watch ( Android watches were out of the question without also changing devices). The cost is less, you don't get a touch screen but again I am rough on watches. The Apple watch is almost "to pretty" to wear realistically in a career that requires you work with your hands!

Love the watch but have had problems

The watch is great. I enjoy getting notifications of calls and texts on my watch. It's a very helpful tool. I love my Pebble Time watch BUT have had some MAJOR problems with them. Pebble customer service is horrible. Luckily I purchased the Geek Squad protection plan. After two months my first watch quit working, but I took it in and Best Buy traded it in for a new one. I've had a few problems with the new one, but was able to fix it myself. Would I recommend it? Yes. But buy the protection plan!
