    Pebble Time - Black

Awesome! Blowing Mind!! I love it, and I just use it, right now!!! It help me to alert from my Pebble Time. because of vibration! I did use my old Pebble classic-black last over 2 yrs. I just upgrade from Pebble classic to Pebble Time. Also, I am very totally tech savvy. FYI: I am Deaf/Legally Blind client!

    Good but texting is flawed

I bought this thinking I could receive AND respond to texts at will from my wrist. I was completely wrong. I am on iOS I have an iPhone 6s Plus brand new and I can't respond to texts from the watch because for some reason pebble hasn't made that yet for iOS. I can receive them but I can't respond. Overall the watch looks and feels very good the silicone straps could be better but you can't complain much about that for the price. The buttons on both sides of the watch have a very tactile feel and a pretty satisfying click. The software has little to no bugs and is very snappy. There is about a one second delay from when you receive a text on your phone to the time it gets to the watch which is very short considering some watches can take up to 20 seconds depending on their Bluetooth versions. All in all the watch is nice but I would not buy it if you want to text from your wrist and are on iOS.

    Good, but not great

I'm having a hard time justifying four stars for this review so three will suffice. And why beat around the bush, the Pebble Time does not live up to its hype. The several day rated battery barely makes it three days before it needs to be recharged on light notification use. Also this time around the bezel is a scratch magnet, and for that matter so is the soft plastic screen. I cannot recommend this product at a $200 price tag. But if you do purchase the watch and don't care about the before mentioned gripes, the way in which the time focuses on calendar events is pretty cool, but not for $200. I unfortunately scratched mine within hours of opening the package, something that took over a year with the original model so returning the device was out of the question. I'm hoping Android wear improves in battery life and cost because this is the last Pebble I will ever own.

Too hard to read; dark and small font

    Posted .

I really like all of the functions, and the thoughts behind the watch, and it works great with my Note 3. But the light is pretty skimpy and shuts off too quickly at night. And the screen isn't as easy to read as the original Pebble. Since I own the original Pebble, I put them both on at the same time for a couple of hours one night. I could read the original easily, and when the light was needed it came on and stayed on as long as I needed it. The Pebble Time was harder to read, the light didn't seem to turn on as easily, was dimmer and turned off too fast. I returned the Pebble Time; I still think the original Pebble is the best watch out there.

    Great Watch

I was originally using a Pebble Steel and really liked it but I was interested in what the Google Wear had to offer so I sold my Pebble Steel and purchased a Moto 360. I used the Moto 360 for only two days and I immediately missed my Pebble. I went back to the store and exchanged it for my new Pebble Time and love it. I love the always on feature and this Pebble Time is just a great watch first and a great smart watch second. I highly recommend this watch.

    limited on iOS

on iOS some of it's functions are limited compared to what it can do on android. if you are simply looking for something to get notifications or control your music it works fine, but with the limitations and the iOS limitations I don't think it is worth it if you are on an iphone. variety of watch faces and the battery life are excellent though. so it is a great watch but not smart enough for the price imo. returning this in the morning.

Improved watch not good activity/sleep tracking

    Posted .

I owened first two generations of Pebbles which eventually stopped functioning. When the new Pebble Health with Firmware 3.8 was announced I decided to give Pebble a try. I use Fitbit HR and after few days of comparison I noticed that Pebble's activity and sleep tracking functions are not as accurate and also activity/sleep analysis/details are very limited. So I returned it.

    Best Smartwatch Made!

This watch is way better than any watch on the market right now! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Smartwatch. The only con of it is you can't respond to text messages yet but supposedly it is in the future of this watch!

Not what I expected or needed

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I needed a combination of activity tracker and watch, but didn't realize I would have to carry my paired device in addition to the watch in order for the activity to track. That is unacceptable. Also, it kept dropping the pairing, even when side-by-side, and "how to use" instructions were very skimpy.

I was all set to buy the Apple Watch until I found out it only has an 18hr battery life. Who wants to charge their watch everyday?! So the Pebble Time was an easy purchase.

My husband and daughter have the original with no problems. However, my Pebble Time would have been returned had I known it had an anti-glare coating. It is terribly scratched with less than a weeks worth of use!

    Not worth the money

After reading the reviews, and finding this watch on sale I decided to make the purchase. While the Pebble time is not a terrible watch, I do not think it warrants the $199 price tag. Pros The watch is compatible with both iOS and Android. The battery life is great. There are tons of watch faces and apps. Cons There is no touch screen. The OS is buggy. The interface is very juvenile. The plastic body looks and feels cheap. iOS functionality is limited. Bottom Line There are much better options out there in this price point. If the watch was say $50 it would be a better option.
