    Best stylus I've tried yet

I have been on the search for a fine tip stylus for quite a while now. Most that I've tried had lag or an offset that made them frustrating to use. I purchased a ReGear Pro Stylus which is pretty good for accuracy but has a hard tip and makes it a bit conspicuous to use when taking notes in a meeting, so my search continued. I read good reviews for the Pencil by Fifty Three so I picked one up at Best Buy about a week ago. I know, it doesn't have a fine tip, but it is by far the most accurate stylus I've used and I can do fine work easily with it. The tip is soft but doesn't drag across the screen at all. It produces the similar experience to pen and paper that I've found yet. The one thing is occasionally the transition between nib and eraser is a bit wonky - I will use the eraser and when I go back to the tip, the stylus will still erase. Doesn't happen consistently and hasn't been enough of an issue to detract from the joy of using it. It's also really comfortable in the hand, even after using for over an hour straight.

    Excellent Stylus

I've been using this stylus for a few days now and it's been a great experience. The thicker shaft and nib do take some getting used to but once you do, its difficult to go back. Ive also used an Adonis Jot Pro, and I find that the Pencil by 53 is a more natural feel. Of course, it works much better with the companion Paper by 53 app, but it also works well with some of the other drawing and sketch apps.

    Great stylus, lacking apps

Pencil is a great stylus, easy to charge, sync, and use. If I was using Pencil solely for drawings I would have given 5 stars, but decent compatible note-taking apps were non-existent. This has replaced my bamboo stylus.

Drawing Difficult, Maybe Good for Notetaking

I bought this to test with drawing using Procreate or Sketchbook. Unfortunately the pencil fails to work well in these programs. The eraser is pretty useless--most of the time smudging my drawing instead of erasing. Due to the tips being large, touching up lines must be done while extremely zoomed in. In all, I returned, and will continue my search for a better product. So far a fibre tip--non Bluetooth has been the better solution.

This Stylus is decent , a bit pricey for what it does but it's made very well but performance should be better at this price range.

    Awesome stylus

I tried many different styluses as well, and had the same results as the other reviewer, offset location, horrible lag, and certain companies "fine tip" were anything but. Something about the 53 Pencil makes it feel a cut above the rest. My only gripe is that the rubber used for the tips will wear out rather quickly if you use this as a normal stylus, as well as a sketching pencil (Just go to their company page, you can get them pretty cheaply replaced). And yes, the 53 Paper app is a great app to use this stylus with. The blend by finger, angle for shading, and flip to erase features really set this apart from the rest of the competition. Oh, and if you do construction, or enjoy using the construction style pencils, you will feel right at home with this is your hand.

    Dislike

This stylus is horrible. I wanted an art stylus but the tip is just to big. Once you stop good luck on joining your line. The offset is pretty bad. Take the stylus off the screen and put it back down and it starts to smudge the existing line. Use the eraser and it smudges the line until it decides to work. This is my first stylus ever and if this is the best it gets I think I need to give up on a stylus for drawing. Very disappointed and will be returning.

This pencil has been a great addition to the functionality of the iPad. Paired with Pencil 53's own app or Microsoft's OneNote you can pretty much do anything you might need in the daily work environment.

    Very disappointed

I purchased this pen after reading numerous 5 star ratings. Apparently I was looking for something different than most. The tip is too large. There is no way to write small and neat enough to take notes. When drawing, I found it to be inaccurate and lagging. This was on the iPad pro, not sure if it would be different on other tablets. I would buy a $.99 stylus before this product. Returning As Soon As Possible.

    Absolutely Did NOT work

I was really excited to try this stylus. As soon as I got home, I charged it until the battery was full, and then tried to use the stylus in it's native app. The pencil didn't work. Then the eraser wouldn't erase what I drew with my finger. Then the pencil was mistaken for my finger and the pencil went into blend mode. Really really disappointed. Returned within an hour after purchasing.

This pen was almost impossible to write with, either it would lose connection or I had to press so hard I thought I would break my iPad. I wanted it to write simple notes on my iPad and it can't even do that. Also the tips are super cheap so expect to buy a lot of replacements.

Good Pencil But still some opportunity

Pencil is very stylish I often get asked where I got it I would personally prefer if the tip was not so squishy it would make writing easier for drawing and painting I think it is ok. The app is designed very good though.

I waited for it to go on sale, it wasn't what I expected. It kept blending whenever I would draw or erase. I used it for 15 minutes, it's defiantly going to be returned.
