This is an excellent title provided you are a fan of the JRPG genre. Amazing story, excellent mechanics, superb characters and fantastic graphics. This title is definitely in the running for game of the year.

I gladly paid almost $100 for the collector's edition of this game and would do so again-at the Playstation Hits price you will pay a fraction of that. Simply put, this is one of those games that defines the Playstation 4 and is a must-have. From the soundtrack on down this is the perfect JRPG. Everything about it drips with style and class. I will not say it is for everyone-a base play through can take as many as 100 hours and contains narrative that some will find triggering. Otherwise, if you have enjoyed the Final Fantasy games, get ready to meet their cool cousin.

There arent many games like the Persona games. Half turn-based RPG, half dating sim. The storyline pulls you forward in a game that will take over 100 hours to finish. For $15-20 you can't go wrong. One major downside to this game is the way all female characters, including minors (middle school age), are sexualized. Not only sexualized by peers, but also by old men. This is apparent throughout the game, and is considered normal. The second downside is how "evil" and "otherly" LGBT are seen in the game. It would have been better to leave LGBT out of the game than to put them in the game as sexual predator-esque characters that the main characters find disgusting and repulsive. The writing was so antagonistic towards these characters it would prevent me from buying another ATLUS game without first verifying they will not villify LGBT again in a game I purchase. Just leave them out or treat them normally. Same with the perversion towards females. Its cringe worthy.

Great entry in the series. The gameplay is smooth and keeps it traditional with a few changes. Having this game on a console is amazing. Good story and game length. Will have many hours put into this game.

Note: I have owned this for a while and just purchased this one for a friend for xmas. Even though it's called Persona 5 you don't need to play the other games first. This Persona game has a lot different things to do that will keep you occupied and not bore you. You live a day-to-day life as the main protagonist where the game allows you to wander the school/city each day upping your social skills or links with others, which unlocks more content, as well as Phantom Thief trying to right some wrongs in some twisted realms with a bit of turn-based battles. There's too much to talk about in this game. Highly recommend.

Amazing game that will get you hooked! I've played the first game and it was exciting and amazing storyline. I was excited when they came out with another Persona video game. Sony + Japanese Game = Win!

As my first JRPG it was an awesome experience and will be playing it again on new game plus for sure. This is really a good game and I recommend it to anyone wether they are into JRPG games or not.

If you can put up with a lot of text (a ton of which is skippable), you're in for a super stylish adventure with some addicting turn based gameplay. Plus, the soundtrack is pretty unforgettable.

I played Persona 4 Golden on ps vita and that led me to buy Persona 5 for PS4 and i love this game. the characters, story, and game play are amazing. a must have for ps4 owners who like rpgs.

150 hours and I enjoyed it highly. Not perfect, lots of down time that could be cut down but the story, gameplay, and characters are the best part. The music too! Got me sad when it ended :(

This was my first experience with a Persona game, and I absolutely loved my time with it. My first time through I racked up over 100 hours. I had so much fun with the game.

One of the best games for PS4, if you do not have it yet I would definitely recomend getting Persona 5 Royal which is the updated version

Persona 5 is an overall masterpiece. The cutscenes and animation are so top notch! The game has a unique JRPG graphic style that's just eye candy to experience and you get transported into the world of Persona 5. The fighting system is traditionally turn based, so if you're not a fan of the old school RPGs and more into the new action based style then maybe this isn't the game for you. Personally I love and enjoy both sytles. The storyline is amazing, and Persona 5 is definitely worthy of one of the top 10 games currently available on the PS4. At the current price, it's a must own game for all RPG fans and PS4 players!

Definitely one of a kind. It's a blend of anime and manga mixed into one harmonious blend. I really like the detail even down to the menu in-game, where the drawings change as you cycle through stuff. Tons of anime cut scenes, lots of voice overs. Battles are classic turn based combat however, it's updated with a lot of options from guns to melee to of course the best part, your Personas!! Demonic and spiritual beings you form contracts with. They grant you powers and abilities in combat and even appear to unleash attacks. if you are a fan of the Persona games it keeps a lot of the same elements as the originals but adds a beautiful graphic visual along the way.

This game DEFINITELY deserves to be listed among PS4 his. At first I was a little confused but this game has great graphics, story and gameplay. Buy it now.

This is a great RPG. My only complaint was the slow start. The combat is turned based so keep that in mind before purchasing. I enjoy turn based combat so it isn’t an issue for me.

Atlus has really outdone themselves with Persona 5. I spent over 100hrs finishing the game and enjoyed every moment. Long time fans and newbies alike will enjoy this entry in the series!

Seen some anime but it fell in love with the series I'm persona three in this version far surpasses persona three cool graphics good story all-around fun game and only on the first boss
