The Persona series is known for their dark and quirky RPGs but to see it in Dynasty Warriors format is truly a sight to behold. It lends itself well to it. The stylish attacks and animation along with the frantic gameplay ensured that there was never a dull moment. Solid buy.

Great action sequel to a fun jrpg. It takes elements of Koei's Dynasty Warriors and makes it play in a much more different way thats more appropriate to SMT Persona.

    Spin-off Delivers for Persona fans

This game is a good sequel that expands on the original. The dynasty warriors combat is changed to fit the persona 5 style well, but may sometimes feel less responsive than other action titles. Occasionally the screen is busy and action can be hard to follow. While the story often retreads the story of the original, but it adds necessary characterization for some characters and adds more depth to the concepts. Worth it for fans of the original, but can be hard to get into for new fans.

Excellent follow up to Persona 5 and/or Persona 5 Royal. Engaging storyline and gameplay make this a must have for any Persona fan. Plays more like a sequel than a standalone title. Not turn based this time around, although the battle system was quick to adapt to.

The game is a fun edition to the franchise. The game stays faithful to the original Persona 5 but adds a unique twist of being a hack and slash this time around. Overall the gameplay was fun, just be prepared to grind a bit for certain trophies and achievements.

More of a Persona game than a Dynasty Warriors gam

Going into this I figured it was going to be a Dynasty Warriors game with Persona characters, like how Fire Emblem Warriors was. Instead, it felt much more in line with how Persona 5 was, but with DW combat systems. The writing is consistent with Persona 5 as well, so if you want a fun sequel with those doofuses, absolutely go for this game! The downside I'd say is that there are difficulty spikes in the game, so be ready to grind and strategize your elemental attacks.

Very great game. Playing it right now expecting a run-off-the-mill dynasty warriors type game with not specific storyline. Pleasantly surprised as it seems to be a proper sequel to the main game. Would definitely recommend to persona fans and dynasty warriors fans.

An incredible sequel to the original game. The gameplay is fluid, the story is actually interesting, and the music is top notch. It's easily one of my favorite games of the year, and Koei did a great job trying to emulate the Persona staples in a new genre.

The game is pretty fun even for someone that has never played persona 5. Its a hack and slash rpg similar to hyrule warriors or dinasty warriors but at the same time you can pause time and use your different spells (personas) so it was another level of depth.

Been playing for a few hours and have to say that unlike most games like this that usually have none of the same energy as the first game, THIS sequel definitely delivers the goods just as good as the first game! 100% would recommend to any Persona fan!

If you enjoyed Persona 5, then you will like this. It's more Persona 5, but it won't take more than 100 hours to finish (around 40 hours or less). The music is great. The gameplay is not turn based but hack and slash, which is a nice change of pace.

A legit sequel to the original Persona 5, but also happens to be a totally different genre this time (a third person action game). If you've played the original Persona 5 and want more of the cast and story, then definitely give this one a try. As a warning: this game is *difficult* and honestly confusing early on, but it becomes more manageable after the first major boss. Stick through it past that one, and you should be fine.

Fantastic sequel so far! This picks up where you left off from 5. But it does it in such a nostalgic, heartfelt way. The team knew you missed them and it is great to be back with our heroes again. Take your heart and get this!

A Persona for people who prefer real time combat

Streamlined Persona 5 experience with real time combat. I do like the more focused approach of this game. The other game allowed too much freedom while taking away a lot of it with that annoying calendar system. This follows a more traditional linear path with a more streamlined story. No drawn out plots or dungeons like Persona 5. All the systems are easy to understand and the difficulty is more balanced than the original game.

It was nice to get back to the phantom thieves. See most people judge this but I just see it as a sequel to an already great game. It's basically reconnecting with old friends you know and going on a trip to stop something bigger.
