Perfect follow up to Persona 5. I got into the series with P5R, and fell in love with it. I’ve been debating on playing thru it again, but this is a good supplement. It’s not an JRPG this time around, but more like a hack-n-slash with the same stylish graphics from P5, and also introduces a couple of new characters.

Fun addictive combat that is deep and rewarding, getting to travel across and visit different cities across Japan is a joy to see and the characters are just as likeable as they are in Persona 5. Definitely recommend, don't let the change in combat deter you, of you are a fan of persona 5 this a fantastic follow up!

I'm not super into the Dynasty Warriors games but I did enjoy Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors and now this one. It's a little different then those other two but still just as fun. It feels like a proper continuation of P5 in terms of story, music and style. If you want more P5 I'd say give this a try.

Persona 5 Strikers is a fantastic addition to the Persona franchise that combines the familiar RPG mechanics of Persona 5 with the fast-paced action of a musou-style game. The game takes place six months after the events of Persona 5, and sees the return of the Phantom Thieves as they embark on a new summer vacation adventure. One of the standout features of Persona 5 Strikers is the integration of the Persona battle system into the musou-style gameplay. Players will use their Personas to battle hordes of enemies, as well as to navigate the game's environments and solve puzzles. The game also features a deep and engaging story that continues the themes and characters of Persona 5, while introducing new twists and turns.

Amazing game and a must play for all persona fans. Anyone new to the persona franchise will be able to follow the story of the game, but will be a little lost mechanics wise as they do not explain the cognitive world in very much detail. I recommend playing persona 5 or preferably persona 5 royal first.

For fans of Persona 5 and Dynasty Warriors games, this is a decent mix of the two. Gameplay-wise, the game probably falls more in line with your typical action-RPG as opposed to the back-and-slash nature of a Dynasty Warriors game. The game still oozes with the familiar Persona 5 style and music though.

It's more Persona than Musou, and that's good!

Do you love Persona 5? Do you hate the turn-based combat and wish you could just beat up your enemies in real-time? Then do I have the game for you! Persona 5 Strikers is Dynasty Warriors-styled hack-and-slash game retrofitted with classic Persona elements like spells, ambushing, and dungeon crawling. Couple that with the iconic art style of Persona 5 and the amazing soundtrack by Atsushi Kitajoh, Gota Masuoka, and Ayana Hira, and you have probably one of the best spin-offs in the franchise! I will be more than happy to get more games like this in the future! **FYI, this game is a sequel to the original Persona 5 game and somewhat expects you to be familiar with the cast.** While they do try to explain certain concepts to the player, I recommend playing Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal beforehand if you want to know the party members more as well as what things like "Palaces" and "Treasures" are.

I love this game. I was skeptical about the fighting mechanics when it was announced but that went out the door as I started playing. I love Persona 5 and this was a great continuation of that story. I recommend to any fan of the Persona series.

A great game that is for all intents and purposes a nice sequel to P5, P5S is though very much a different beast, it takes some getting used to, but once you get in line with what buttons do what, I'm sure you'll have just as much fun as I did.

I bought this game because I really enjoyed Persona 5. At first it took awhile for me to understand the combat. But since I got my arms around how combat works I have really loved this game. It’s a lot of fun and a great extension of the world of P5.

This game is for anybody who enjoyed Persona 5, the combat isn't a far depature from the turn based as it's complexity is greater than I was expecting. Has the style that a Persona game should have, and most likely a great sequel to Persona 5.

I was shocked at how much of a good sequel this came out to be. I don't know if this is blasphemous to say but I think I enjoyed the story in this game better than I did all the new additions in the Royal edition of Persona 5.

As someone who loved Persona 5, this game was an instant pickup for me. Overall I enjoyed the game and it's story and characters, but the combat got extremely repetitive after awhile. Maybe the problem is that I loved the turn based combat so much in 5 that this game did not keep me too engaged. If you like the story of persona 5 and want to see your favorite phantom thieves return, definitely give this game a try!

You could prolly still come into this game not having played persona 5 or P5 Royal, but def play those before coming into this! It will make the experience that much sweeter. The dynasty warriors style in this game blends really well.

If you were looking for more content with the phantom thieves, this is perfect for you. I’m not a huge fan of the gameplay mechanics like dynasty warriors, but it is easy to get used to. I mean come on! If you love Persona 5, you’ll disregard the gameplay and be more focused on the extra “Canon” content. A few slight criticisms would be that there are no more confidant levels, no more social skills, and the game doesn’t have Anti-Aliasing so it looks a bit jagged around the edges. The only two downsides to this game that I can think of would be that you can only squeeze around 60 hours out of strikers vs the 100+ hours in persona 5. The second downside would be a disappointment for anyone who enjoyed the extra content and characters that Persona 5 Royal brought to the table, is not present in this game. Which is why I put “Canon” in quotations considering it doesn’t follow P5R’s aftermath, whilst Royal claims to be the definitive version. Otherwise a fantastic game. One last note to mention, if you own a Nintendo switch and a PlayStation 4, I recommend buying it for the PlayStation. Not only are the graphics a little bit better, but a huge game changer for me was that the Nintendo switch version caps at 30FPS vs the PlayStation at 60FPS. If it was a main SMT Persona game, it wouldn’t bother me, but a game with dynasty warriors elements, the fighting hordes of enemy’s might be hard to do with such low frame rate. If not from me, please check out comparison videos online. You’d be surprised how smooth the Console version preforms.

When I heard they were making a Dynasty Warriors type game for the Persona series, I was ecstatic. And all the developers had to do to please me was to make the low effort necessary to make this a reality. However, they did one better and actually made this *feel* like a Persona game. No, there aren't social links nor is it turn-based. But it feels more like a proper RPG than a mindless beat-'em-up game. Your characters level up, you still fuse personas in order to create new ones, and there are even proper dungeons. Really, the biggest change is when you get into random battles, they are action driven instead of turn-based. It's extremely well executed, and I recommend it to all Persona and Shin Megami Tensei fans, even if they are not fond of Dynasty Warriors as a concept.

Another amazing Persona game. Started off a bit slow and I thought I wouldn’t like it. But boy was I wrong. When the world opens up this game becomes amazing. If you love Persona it’s just more of what you love with a twist.

I’m not much of an action RPG person, but I really enjoyed this game. While it lacks some of what Persona 5/Royal had (I.e social links, Kasumi, etc.) it was still a blast. Pick this up if you’ve beaten Persona 5/Royal.
