    I am truly shocked at how much we love the Petcube Play. It was a home monitor for one when we had a rare tornado in our neighborhood ( we live in Maine) and were away on vacation. Our cat "Valentine" is a constant worry for my wife when we leave so this became a stress reliever. I liked the notification triggered by the motion sensor that we had a video to watch. It is far better than turning the camera on and hoping to catch the cat in the room. At night the camera with its night vision was super clear and accurate. It was a big hit with our two girls who loved watching the cat videos!!! I can easily say this is a home run and will turn into a necessity for our family vacations!!!!!!

    Separation anxiety dog

    One of my favorite activities is stalking my dog when we are away. Callie is a rescue with separation anxiety, she howls and cries and sometimes jumps on tables when we are away and I like to monitor to see if some days are better than others for her. Before I bought the Petcube, I was using a pet monitoring app that was connected to an old ipad to stream my living room where my dog Callie normally hangs out, the quality was poor and limited viewing area and did not have the option to record. My Petcube was a HUGE upgrade, it is wide angle which allows me to see the entire width of the living room, HD quality, and best of all, it records all motion and sound under the "care" button(which btw is the only thing I would change because it took me awhile to figure out where the videos were stored). The laser play is an interesting feature, but my dog figured out quickly you cant "catch" a laser so this is kind of pointless for me. This is also a great product for home monitoring. Overall, love the product, keeps me tabs on my lil cute pup who sometimes gets upset when we leave her by herself.

    Defective and too many issues

    Returned 12/10/2017 The laser only worked pointed straight to the ceiling. It would go blurry and disappear when it was moved. Live video was smooth with no issues. Motion activated recording was triggering every few seconds (smallish mobile home exaggerates light changes), so this feature was going to have to be disabled. The final straw was the subscription that there is no mention of on the package so you can't know about it at the time of purchase.

    I am so happy I was able to get this. It has made my life a lot better especially having loved pets and working. Now I can see them and talk to them when I'm at work! And even play with them with the laser! With the laser, I have noticed that it does have a little bit of delay. Side note, once you set this up make sure that nobody else can see your camera. There are settings where others can play with your pets. Its a nice feature, but kinda creepy. Set up did take a little bit and was also kind of frustrating but after I set it up it was all set and has been working great since! I think I used this most while I was away at work to see my pets. Its a nice tool to have and way worth the price.

      Thank you for your review. Please make sure you calibrate the laser to make it more precise. To do so, open Petcube app on your phone, go to 'Settings', select 'Calibration' and follow the instructions on the screen.
      But by default, only the owner can access the camera. We have strict policies and technical barriers in place to prevent unauthorized access to video data. If you want, you can share the access to your Petcube with your Family, Friends and anyone who installs Petcube application by changing the Settings. But you can be sure that no one can access it until you allow it.

    Wanted to love, but poor audio quality

    I was so excited to try this product. As a professional student, I am on campus for most of the day (and much of the night). I loved the idea of being able to check on and interact with my very spoiled pup! Video quality was great. I liked how the camera also had a night vision setting. The app was easy to use and I appreciated the many settings you could employ; for example, you can set it up so that the petcube will record short video clips anytime the cube detects noise and/or movement. That way, you can keep an eye on what your pet does throughout the day, without being glued to the live feed. The laser was a really fun idea, and it worked pretty well after calibration. I had no trouble moving the laser across the walls and ceiling when the cube was sitting on a tabletop, but for the most part the laser couldn't "reach" the floor, where I feel like my dog would interact with it the most. Even though the laser works well, I wish it had more range. The biggest "con" of this product to me was the poor audio quality. No matter where I was, there was an echo and it always sounded as if the speaker/microphone was inside of a tin can. I tried this feature when my boyfriend was home one day, and he couldn't understand a word I was saying. Far from ideal. All in all, I think this product has a lot of potential, but I wouldn't recommend it based on the sub-par audio quality. If petcube could fix this, I think it could be a great product.

As for the laser not reaching the floor, the camera in the Petcube Play was designed to point down so that you can see your pets playing on the floor. So, we suggest placing your Petcube higher up to get all the visibility you need and making the laser reach the floor. However, in case there is no such possibility, we have a workaround. Also, we are currently working on designing the push-to-talk way of audio interaction, which will reduce the echo and improve the audio quality.     Lots of fun

    So I have been playing around with this device for the past couple of weeks. It has been fun to play with and my cat seems to really enjoy the laser toy that is part of the device. I had some issues out of the gate with the application crashing while I was trying to use it outside of my home, but support was on it! They upgraded my device and they worked with me to get the issues resolved with the app on my phone (Thanks, Steve!) In any event, if you are looking for a way to interact with your animals while you are out of the house, this is definitely the way to do it!

    I wanted to try this pet cube because I have a mischevious cat who gets into things when we're gone and I wanted to see for myself what exactly she does, The pet cube gave me that and more! I'm not only able to see her have fun and be bad haha but also talk to her and play with the laser with her, It was super easy to install , set up and super compact so doesn't take up much space, I absolutely loved having this pet cube and definitely recommend to those with fur babies

    Cute Little Camera

    I've had the Petcube Play for about a week now. I really like it. It has a very small footprint which I like a lot. The camera quality is quite good and it has a wide range. It covers my whole living room and dining area. My cats like to play with the laser but it lags quite a bit. I love that I can talk to my cats but a lot of the time it's garbled. My connection is also lost a lot so I do suspect that my wifi connection is causing most of my issues. Overall I really like that I can have a high resolution camera to check on my pets and home while I am away.

    Great idea, needs some work

    The Pet Cube is a really cool idea and the product itself appears to be very well designed, with a minimalistic appearance that allows you to place it almost anywhere. The camera resolution is very good although it can be difficult to locate the laser for at times. The Android app is also very straightforward with a simple interface, and a broad variety of settings like motion detection, auto play, and two way communication. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends, at least for me. Despite a good internet connection and a 1700mbs AB router, I could not get the devices laser to operate fluidly and without less than a full second of lag between my inputs and the device's response. Thinking that it may have been a issue with my Nexus 6p, I tried my spouse's 6p, my Galaxy Tab S, and ultimately a Pixel, sadly all to no avail. After several hours of resets, installs and uninstalls, I remained unable to reduce lag or app crashes to a tolerable much less functional level.  I will go on trying and hoping that it's simply a software or hardware bug that will get fixed, because it would be cool to get it working even half as well as other users seem to have. Best of luck to you. For now my cat will have to stick to playing with the power cord.

    The camera works well

    I wish I could leave a zero star. We got this for our dog who has some anxiety issues. To comfort her when we are away. The camera works for 200 dollars we spent, it better work. The main reason we purchased this is because of the two way audio and lazer. Problems: 1. The two way audio sounds dreadfully muffled and barely audible. Problem 2: The laser is extremely off the mark. If it appears on my phone as it's on the floor; it's actually on the ceiling, rending it useless. Problem 3: The app doesn't work well on both my iphone 7plus and my boyfriend's android. Problem 4: They only allow a few hours of watch time and then you have to pay (more) for a subscription. Problem 5: They kept blowing up my email; although I never signed up to receive email, then to top it off, when I unsubscribed to them; I still keep getting email. Conclusion: Frankly for the price we could have hooked up an entire in home security with (multiple cameras) for just a few more bucks if all we wanted to do was pay 200 for ONE camera. Granted the camera does work well, but that is all that works correctly. We had to return this. I don't recommend it.

    I have been using the PetCube for a week and I love it. I spend all day at work, and my kitty stays home alone. At least I can talk to him through this device and play. He can hear my voice and reacts. This is a must have product for people who travel or have to be away from their pets. It's easy to set up, and wherever you have wifi on your phone you can check in on your pet. Very simple and helpful.

    Really enjoy this product

    I really like using this. It's fun and takes a weight of my mind when I can pop in and check in the animals. I caught my shepherd stealing cookies of the counter once. However I do not have the best connection but that maybe my homes wifi and I cannot get the laser pointer to sync. With that being said I still like the product but it's used more for like survalence then interaction with the pets.

    Great product to keep an eye on your pets. Setup was easy and straight forward. App for Iphone was user friendly and intuitive. Have been using the product for about three months and so far no bugs or hiccups. Seems reliable enough. My only wishlist would be for extended range with the wifi. I had some issues positioning the petcube too far away from the router. More range would be great.

    Fun for Pets and Owners

    We've had fun using the 2-way voice feature and laser game with our 2 pups, both when we are out of the house and when we are home. The quality of the camera itself is great, and the ability to zoom in on the app is helpful. Overall, a high quality camera with some additional fun features.

    Caveat: I'm not normally a disgruntled reviewer but I'm so frustrated. I purchased a PetCube to watch my dog while I'm at work. From the very beginning, the video resolution has been awful. Grainy, if it appears at all. The connection to the PetCube is dropped at least once per viewing session. The audio on it sounds like it's coming from hell. Completely unclear, with the only available sound being very loud static which scares both me and my dog. My dog does like the laser pointer, but after a year it stopped working altogether. Recalibration doesn't work. I've moved several times since buying this PetCube (three different apartments) with different WiFi and yet the connection is always terrible. When I contacted customer service, they scolded me for not telling them about the issue right away and then told me my unit was broken and they would ship me a new one but ONLY if it was under warranty (it isn't anymore). So they were useless. STRONGLY RECOMMEND AN ALTERNATIVE PRODUCT. My sister has similar problems with hers. She has a camera that made the room appear bright pink and she couldn't fix it. Again, save your money and buy a different product.

    The box has a huge delay either for video/audio or the laser, the laser was super inaccurate and the frame rate of the camera is really low and reminds me of those 0.3mp webcams (not even close to 1080p), it was cheaply made (it's an okay product for maybe 40-50$ but not worth 100$+). But the main problem with this product was that it kept disconnecting from the router and I had to reconnect it almost every 2-3 days. had to return it

    Very bad quality and depraved product

    I bought this camera 5 months, now I have to add comments, because it is really bad product! 1. the picture quality is poor after all you spend $150 compare with ring door bell 2. the service is deprraved, ifyou dont purchase their storage service, only 10s for the video I write this review to those who want to buy a camera for their pets, and this is definitely not what you want
