Already had one of these, but needed another one for the RV. Obviously the first one was great, hence the second one.

We absolutely love ours, and got a second for our cabin. Works great, the settings are great, only thing we dislike is that the size of brew in the cups is a bit smaller than we would like. (Not enough to make a full cup typically)

This was a Christmas present for my wife. It wasn't something she'd asked for but she'd offhandedly mentioned a "Breville espresso machine" a while back. I spent months researching before settling on this one. It's NOT for the person who wants to do latte art. It's NOT for the person who wants to spend time treating espresso as a science and "dialing in" different grinds and pressure settings, etc.
This is for someone that wants a machine that simply, easily, and quickly makes various espresso drinks. That's my wife. She's not interested in spending weeks figuring out the optimal settings for a particular coffee bean or type of drink. She hits a few buttons and it spits out a perfect drink that she (and everyone else who's tried them) absolutely love.
It's also extremely easy to clean and maintain—no handwashing here!
My wife loves it and is very happy with her big Christmas present surprise. I asked her what she'd title this review and she said "good bye, Starbucks!"

Cons:
- Does NOT make coffee..only espresso.
- Has design flaws - a hole in the adjuster of the hopper so beans can get stuck…that was dumb.
- There is No difference between Coffee and Americano (the drink buttons).
- The cappuccino and macchiato buttons make the same drink, one has more milk, Neither look like the image in this product listing nor the little images on the button.
- The tray broke pretty early on into my purchase and customer support was good about replacing it
Pros:
- Makes a caffeinated beverage similar to a regular American coffee pretty quickly compared to an AeroPress (which is what I was using before this)
- easy to use
- good customer service from Philips (replaced a the tray which broke within the first few weeks of me having it)

I purchased this machine after knowing what I wanted in a coffee maker:
1. Coffee shop quality drinks, consistently
2. Ease of use, minimum daily set up
3. Ease of cleaning
4. Variety of milk based drinks
The main reason you'll love this machine is that it makes a variety of coffees and milk based drinks at a push of a few buttons. This machine did not disappoint. My wife likes the milk-based drinks, for which this machine offers two varieties. I drink them all, including the classic coffee
The output quality is high, and it's comparable to the quality from professional machines and many home base machines. I challenged my sister-in-law who owns a Breville machine ($600) to a coffee making contest, and this machine consistently outputs high quality coffee, that is indistinguishable from the Breville. The traditional espresso makers like Breville that requires multiple steps of grinding, tamping, temperature adjustments, etc causes you to have varying consistencies of quality, and ultimately takes a lot of time. When comparing the coffee grounds, you could tell that the "puck" is consistent coming from this machine, whereas the manual machines is up to the operator to consistently get it correctly.
The main benefit of this machine is its complete hands-off approach to making milk-based coffees. The best feature is the milk frother. It makes steam milk and/or froth. Your only involvement is literally adding the water, milk and coffee beans. The grinder has 12 settings, and the factory default setting is perfect for all the drinks. Ymmv on the ground quality depending on the beans and your preferences, but you may need to adjust the ground for each type of coffee.
Cleaning is simple. In fact it does not even need a daily cleaning. You can empty your wastewater tray and ground tray, once every 6 cups or so. Because the coffee ground puck is consistently dry, a quick dump into the compost bin usually removes all the waste and then a quick rinse under the faucet is usually sufficient. The wastewater tray has a spout for an easy drip free pour. The milk frother is a two-piece set that is machine washable. I hand wash the frother daily, which takes less than a minute of soapy water and rinse. About once a month, you will need to oil the machine by taking a cartridge out. And eventually you will need to replace the water filter and run descaling solution, typical for most premium machines.
Lastly, you should only seriously consider buying this if you love coffee and varieties of coffee that it offers. You have to be able to justify the pricing. This is what hooked me on to it. If you buy lattes, The machine pays off itself after about 130 cups. My wife only hated the price, but her daily enjoyment of her latte or cappuccino is reluctantly shown in her face when she sips it every morning.
Aside from the pre-programmed drinks, you can also have the machine just make the froth or steamed milk for hot chocolate, macha lattes, and other non-coffee-based drinks that requires hot milk by simply setting the machine to use pre-ground coffee, wait for the milk cycles to end, and then pushing the stop button.

After to a of research, this espresso/coffee machine met all my needs. It makes a great espresso and coffee after a few adjustments to the grind and water pour levels. Now there is no need to hit a Starbucks or Peet’s for a latte or cappuccino. I can have a great cup at the tough of a button in the comfort of my home.

works great and makes a really tasty espresso, cappuccino, and latte very easily. Easy to clean and maintain. Not particularly great at making very customized drinks like you might get from a coffee shop, but definitely good at making the bread and butter drinks for much cheaper than buying from your local barista.

I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present. We stepped up from a Keurig so we were looking for something simple. It is super easy to use. We have been very happy with the quality of the coffee, and my wife has cut her daily coffee shop run out of our budget.

I'm not a coffee expert by any means and I had the saeco xsmall unit before the Philips 3200, which I really enjoyed. But i have to say, the 3200 is quick and easy and provides more options. I've had it about a month and it's not complicated and i like the final result. I would recommend to anyone looking in this price range.

I absolutely love this espresso machine. I upgraded from the Breville Barista Express. This machine is so much easier to use and makes excellent espresso, lattes, and cups of coffee. I highly recommend this machine for anyone who loves espresso!
