Best remote ever

I wanted a universal remote that I could use for my tv and my Amazon fire tv after we got rid of cable. This was the perfect solution. The Amazon remote slides right in, which is nice because those small remotes get lost so easily. I will be getting another one for our living room as well.

I didn't even program it, I had my girlfriend do it. She doesn't even know how to start a desktop computer. She just keeps touching the screen or giving the monitor a quick tilt like its a phone sleeping. So if she can figure it out anybody can. I also doubt she read the instructions I don't think that was one of her strong points in school, but man does she look good.

It's also a lot larger than the Amazon remote so it's much easier to find. We absolutely love this remote. It took a while to locate the right code but it works perfectly.

I would press the buttons on the back remote sometimes on accident. Not the best idea. Would not purchase again.

Neat Idea, but did not work for me.

It would never control my Marantz Audio/Video appliance. The programming was very difficult. So many codes. The auto method would once or twice activate the power but then I could not figure out how to make it stick. It would send like 10 codes at once. I can not recommend this.

I tried to order one from Amazon (for a dollar or 2 higher than Best Buy) but they were sold out. The remote is not nearly as clunky or busy as I had imagined. Our family is always losing fire stick remotes or at least the battery covers, and this remote indirectly solved that issue as a bonus benefit. It fits well and is easy to find after being swallowed by a couch. Also, it navigates well and I got used to the buttons quickly. I would recommend it for sure.

Setup was simple. I have a LG Tv and along with a LG blu ray player plus Xfinity X1 cable box setup could not have been any easier. I also have a Fire Stick Max and the remote fits perfectly in back of remote. If I had one request I wish it was backlight but for the price I would definitely buy again.

Also had to trim Fire Stick slots. Was able to insert Fire Stick into remote. Inserting remote batteries was a challenging. Used electrical tape to seal up unit.
