    This remote works fine for the first day or so but then requires reprogramming, then it works again for a few days and then it has to be reprogrammed again. It's very unstable and glitchy.

    Great product. I travel for work and stay in hotels. Works on all TVs so far so I’m able to change input on tv with no buttons

    This remote control may do exactly what it should do, but it does not do what Best Buy's salesman said it would do, so I returned it. It would not enable one to use the number buttons to remote control an Amazon TV's channel choice. That is still a bizarre routine for the friend who bought her first smart TV at the advice of another Best Buy salesman when she has zero connectivity to the Internet.

    Had a wonderful experience buying this oven but it has gone downhill from there. Customer service did not know how to add a pick up of our old stove. After being there an hour, they figured it out and did not charge us. Originally they were coming after noon. Showed up at 730 am and didn't have the parts to install it. Still waiting for installation!!

    Do you remember the older "universal" remote controls that you had to look in a book and type in a dozen codes to fine one that worked? Well, this is pretty much like those, but you use a phone app instead of typing the codes. So this makes setting up the remote MUCH easier. The only real down side is that I could not find a way to customize the buttons (as compared to a Logitech Harmony remote). You can set up from simply power-on macros to switch inputs and similar things. So, for simple use cases, this is a great options. The Logitech remotes (which appear to have been discontinued) give you much more power, but are also more complex to set up and require a PC instead of just a phone. The only real annoying thing is that this device has Bluetooth built in. If it only allowed you to use that to control Roku devices that need Bluetooth, then I would happily dub this one of the best budget remote controls ever. It is sad that they missed this opportunity. However, if you only need IR, then this is worthy of consideration just for ease of use.

    Don't get me wrong - this is a well made device. It looks great, it feels great in the hand, and the white LED lighting is an excellent addition, but unless you've completely lost or broken your original, I personally wouldn't give up the OEM remote in exchange for this one. Why not? Because not all functions for all devices are supported. Perfect example - my HiSense Android TV. All your "basic" TV functions are supported, but a feature I use a lot is the Google Assistant for searching, which requires the remote to have a microphone in it. My OEM remote has one - this apparently does not. Another issue I had - my Sanyo DVD/VCR combo, which I rarely use but still it has a place in my setup because I have old VHS tapes - completely unrecognized to this remote. My Sony Blu-Ray player - zero issues - worked like a champ! So, I guess it really comes down to the devices you're using it with. I'll hold onto it because if I lose a remote at least I can have partial functionality, but it doesn't cover 100% of what a factory remote would (at least in my case - your mileage may vary! )

    I was hoping to be able to use this as my only remote in my family room, but it hasnt worked out that way yet; I have an Apple tv, a jbl 9.1 sound bar, and a lg 4k tv; trying to get it to just work effortlessly for a 3 things is a challenge.. finding the devices in the programming database was easy, but getting them to all work in unison was not. you have to hit each "mode"/device first, THEN tell the remote what you want to do with it; that means volume up/down/channel change/input chage all requires multiple pushes on the remote, which frankly isnt very intuitive. I guess its fine as a single device replacement, but to use it as a "smart" remote, or expect it to work effortlessly with a multi device setup is more than an inexpensive remote like this is capable of

    I really like that I can control my TV, sound bar, streaming device and DVD player all with one remote controller. Set up is very simple, download the myTouchSmart Remote Control app and follow the directions and answer the few questions that it asks. It will ask what devices and brand you want to put on the remote and takes care of the rest. I always hated that I had to look up codes and keep trying them until I got one that worked for the device I was adding to the remote. This is a great timesaver. Another nice feature within the myTouchSmart Remote Control app is the Find-It feature you can use if you lose the remote and need to find out where it is hiding (usually between the cushions) at times somewhere I would never think I would ever leave it. This device also works well with my sound bar. I can turn the volume up, down and even mute it and change settings. I use this with my streaming device and it does everything the remote that came with it does. It fast forwards, rewinds and pauses easily. All the controls are self explanatory leaving out any guess work as to what button does what. Most any of your needs for control of your device is at the touch of a button. I am very happy that instead of having 4 remotes lying around and having trouble finding them I can just use this one remote. I actually have room on my coffee table now! I was a bit disappointed that it doesn’t seem to work well if I am more than 15 feet away from the TV. Since that doesn’t happen to me very often it is not that big of a deal, but may be an annoyance for someone else. I would definitely recommend this universal remote. It is much easier to navigate than others I have had. I find the app a BIG plus with this remote.

    I got this to replace a lost TV remote for an older TV. I imagine it would be easier to pair with a newer TV, it did take a few tries to get the right code. But once that was handled I've had no issues. I'm able to control the TV and the streaming device with one remote now. The volume function works unlike other replacement remotes I've tried. I like the backlit keys and the big size of the keys as this is in a child's room. The app for set up was super easy to use and takes away the majority of the guess work usually associated with setting up a new remote. I'd definitely get another one if we lose another remote.

    Attractive Remote with Disappointing Design

    The Philips 4 Device Remote Control is a Bluetooth Programmable device designed to simplify operation by combining up to 4) remotes. Infrared works well; however my gear is located in a closet, so I would need an IR repeater to control the gear using this remote. This remote claims to be able to control Apple TV, but perhaps since mine is located in a closet approximately 19 feet from the viewer, the remote could not control the Apple TV. I love the bright white illuminated buttons! This is the best feature of this remote. Their rubberized feel is ideal. Button placement is the worst of any remote I own. Compare this to Amazon Fire Stick remote with it's perfectly located buttons, or LG remote that is included with their OLED TV's. Those buttons are similarly located to Samsung TV's; they just make sense. If Philips had designed this remote using LG or Samsung TV remote button placement & used similar positions for Volume & Channel & especially Back button, this remote would be much more usable. The Find-it feature included with the MyTouch Smart Remote Control app is a good tool to prevent losing this remote. SUMMARY: While this remote feels good in my hand, I prefer using separate remotes with button placement that makes sense. Not recommended.

    Cheaper than Buying a Bose Replacement Remote

    This is way cheaper than buying a replacement for the Bose soundbar remote that my son lost. I think the "back" button placement could be a little better, it's too tiny and in a weird spot. But the Bluetooth option to find your remote is great...especially when you have kids that like to repeatedly "mis-place" them! Set-up was a breeze, as well.

    Garbage - Doubles commands

    Garbage. Bought this to replace my flawless Logitech Harmony of 8 years that finally bit the dust. When paired with any device, the arrow and channel keys "double" for even the shortest (fraction of a second) key press. Makes it unusable to navigate menus on both my Samsung TV and my Roku. I also disliked not having an app to use with my PC to program. Why must everything need a special app and require me to give it full access to my smartphone? No manually programming option? Yes, please just invade my privacy to boot. Look elsewhere.
