Put small remote in big remote... Ok? Requires it's own power source. Once the ROKU remote is in, the Phillips remote holds down buttons, like VOLUME UP, and it'll just keep going n going. Can't turn it down unless you undo the screws and take the Roku back out of the Phillips. Got it to help make grams TV viewing easier. It definitely did NOT do that or meet even basic expectations. The Phillips part does not even control the "reg" bit of the tv, the non Roku functions that is. So, a total waste of money. Get something that's 1 device. Not some stupid contraption.

The only shortcoming is the tiny screws you need to take out and put back to change the batteries. Never heard of Velcro?

Disappointing

The instructions are printed in fine print. Very hard to read. You have to put batteries in Roku and new remote that needs a tiny screwdriver to open. Returned.

Sometimes I touch other buttons in error, on the underside, when I grab it to use it, so I guess it takes a little getting accustomed to. I do like it though
