    Good but very expensive lightstrip

Let me start out by saying that having all these Hue lighting syncing to my tv sound like a cool idea but thats all it is, a cool idea. This light strip works and syncs very well. You must have the sync box in order to get the colorful effect. This strip can be used without the sync box but you can not the rainbow color effect, it will only be whatever one color at one time. The downside is that there was a price increase after it was sold out for weeks if not months.

Works very well with my Hue Sync Box and a couple Hue Play lights setup with the Hue Sync Box as well. I do wish the Hue Gradient was a bit more bright though. Also didn’t think about it when purchasing it, but the way it is designed, it doesn’t provide any backlighting on the bottom of the TV, which would be fine if it were on a stand, however, I have my TV wall mounted. I’ll probably just pickup another Hue Play light to shine under my TV to get the absolute full effect.

This bad boy brought my dead tv entertainment area back from the grave. Like a phoenix it is reborn, with all it's Glory. Beware if you are going to buy this for yourself you will also need a Hue bridge which is the only way to access the light bar via phone app. You can change the color with that. The colors are awesome very bright and beautiful. But the light bar will only change to one solid color, you can't have multiple colors like a sunset effect of peach or pink on the top part and purple or blue on the sides. You will also need a Hue sync box, to get the color changing effects that project the colors of the tv. You can use a app on your computer that can be used as a alternative if you don't want to buy the sync box. But you have to watch the movies using your computer, than connect it via HDMI or whatever to your tv or monitor. This app is only compatible with the Hue Bridge 2.0 not the 1.0 And lastly the Hue sync box has 4 HDMI inputs and one output to your tv. You will have to use your blu ray, or gaming system, or HDMI fire stick to get the color changing sync effects. this light bar will not work on a smart tv. Repeat the apps on your tv will not get the color changing effects. The media or games has to be ran through the sync box than to your t.v. After all this that I didn't know to begin with I still love it it's pretty awesome. Fire pit screen savers are way better, or anything fire is pretty awesome as well as all everything else.

I previously had multiple Hue Play Bars mounted behind my tv with the Hue sync box, and while it worked well, replacing those with the Gradient Lightstrip was definitely an improvement. Installation was quick and easy (I didn't even have to unmount my television from the wall). I'm very happy with this

Love this with the sync box. Integrates with the other philips Hue lights. I was using just regular bulbs for the top sides and the “hue Play” for the bottom sides so 4 bulbs all together. This takes the place for the top of the TV fits a 75” TV perfect colors are bright and vibrant. Noe i use the “hue Play” light on the floor behind entertainment center as floor level shooting up. The 3 together works great. Just a bit pricey but easy to use and everything still on one app.

Really nice lights but two minor things I wish it would go completely around the TV because my TV is on the wall and the the way it attaches to the TV but it bends around the TV but still looks good .Lots of different colors to choose from and the set up was very easy using the Phillips App .

This is the second light strip of that I’ve purchased (bought a bigger TV). So with buying two, obviously I really enjoy it! Makes TV and movie watching amazing with the surround lighting. Very easy to set up. With the rest of the apps and devices it goes with, very easy to make work. These are constantly getting updates with more wars to use them. These will only get better!

I remember when the strips we’re thin little 3m tape flimsy stickies. this is so much better! what an upgrade!! It takes just a few minutes a little longer if you’re tv is a little larger as we had to take it down from the wall mount. But applying the mounts and sticking it on was effortless. So easy to do and the strips/lights are as vibrant as ever!

This was my second purchase of the gradient lightstrip. I have the 55 inch version and recently purchased a 65 inch tv, it was a no brainer to get the lights to go along with it. When used with the sync box it adds a whole new level of immersion to movies and games that cant be beat. Pricey but i definitelt recommend for the avid home theater enthusiasts

Although pricey, This is the best Lightstrip I've tried in terms of quality and getting the most ambiance. Unfortunately the first one that was delivered to me had a faulty corner which made the one corner always have Green LED's. Luckily I bought it from Best Buy & they have wonderful customer service. They sent me the replacement first before I had to send the faulty one back.

So cool! Colored light surrounds your TV to match what you're watching. Really enhances my viewing experience. It's expensive since you also need the HDMI Sync box, but if you can afford it, it's totally worth it. One other downside is that it only works through HDMI, so it won't work with native smart TV functionality. I use the new Chromcast with Google TV.

Such a fun addition to a nice home theater setup. Pricey but lots of longterm value for movies and games. Very cool. Very slight latency using the built-in Samsung app, worth the trade off to have the Hue app streaming straight from the TV w/o needing an additional HDMI box. That said, running through the HDMI box seems to reduce any latency and responsiveness of the lights

Simple installation and setup with amazing results. Looks great behind the TV. It takes over for 7 play bars which saves you money. Hue sync box not required if streaming from a pc (free app). Don't forget a hue bridge though. Only con for me is the individual zones are not able to be manually changed yet. Rumor is we may get a software update to change that.

Started with Govee t3 lite and started to really like the look. So when I upgraded my tv I decided to look at these. 400 dollars is a little insane but I was luck enough to pick up an open box deal for 130. The lights look 100 times better than the Govee but not sure if it’s worth 400

Oh yeah / pairing this up w a Hue Sync -- this brings out the immersion of movie watching. It is something else. There's a reason why these sell out so fast. The things I don't like about it is the price (its sort of expensive) and its designed for no zones to go on the bottom; which is perplexing. I guess they want us to shell out more for play bars or hue go units.

It adds another dimension to watching movies. After using these for a while it doesn’t feel right watching anything with out them. They are too expensive and you have to be careful with the connection between the strip and the circuit board box, it is a little flimsy especially at the price. I have 2 strips, when I was moving one from one TV to another the circuit board box opened. I put it back together but the lights wouldn’t work after that. I tried to get a replacement box from Philips but they don’t sale that particular part. If you purchase make sure you get Best Buy protection because Philips is less then helpful

I really like the colors with the gradient lightstrip. It's an expensive solution when combined with the HDMI sync box but it works well with movies and music. It works best with a light colored wall behind as the colors will be less dynamic on a dark wall. Fortunately, I already planned to pain the room lighter.

This would have been a perfect rating if not for the ease of installation. The lightstrip is not as flexible as one would expect like the previous Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance Lightstrip. It came with plastic “corner guides” which allows the strip to fit snugly when it goes on the corner edges of your TV, but since the strip is so rigid and “uncooperative”, it tends to snap out of the gap where it was suppose to be in and ultimately it just hangs wherever it wants. My TV has an uneven backside so the strip cant even lay flat on the back panel of the TV and makes it is so difficult for it to be held down even if you apply a double sided tape on it. I would say the previous Hue White and Color Ambiance Lightstrip was such a breeze to put on that it makes you wanna forget about the missing gradient feature it lacks that creates the stunning visual effect it when you use your TV for viewing or streaming music.
