Easy to set up
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up, and provides good gradient light. This is more expensive than the gradient light strip, I bought this because it was going around the edge of a 65 inch TV. The amounts that come with it are very worthwhile, and the length of the strip is perfect. It does recommend that you have two people to install it, I would recommend this but I did it by myself which was not a huge deal. It may have been a little bit nicer to install with another person since you would be able to have someone on both ends, but it is definitely doable by yourself.

it’s pretty good
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Philips Hue Strip Light is a game-changer for ambiance. It's easy to install, thanks to the adhesive backing, and the range of colors and brightness levels is impressive. The app control is seamless, allowing you to set the perfect mood or adjust lighting remotely. While a bit pricey, the quality and versatility make it a worthwhile investment for transforming any space into a vibrant and dynamic environment.

Love This Product; Have 2.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is actually our second gradient lightstrip. We purchased the 65" for another TV first and then bought this one for our newer 75". The only "trouble" is getting it properly spaced/mounted to the back of the TV, particularly if you're as OCD as me. But once that is complete, the light is nothing but a joy and adds to every TV-watching experience, whether movie, TV, or video game. Our house was already Hue-integrated, so the addition of the lightstrip is seamless. Yes, it may be pricey compared to many, but that's like saying a Mac is pricier than a Dell -- the user experience and quality in design is worth it.

Gradient FTW!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed these on the back of my TV with ease. They light up the room with all other lights off and the gradient light looks amazing when watching anything especially darker colors.

Disappointing Design
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so excited when i saw this in store at Best Buy. And for the 5-6 days it stayed attached to the TV, it was great. Love the ambience it adds (although I’m not sure it really works better than the standalone Hue lights I already had behind the TV. But the adhesive is simply not strong enough to hold the strip in place around the back of the TV against the force being exerted by the bent light strip that does not want to be held in a frame position. I was on a Teams meeting earlier today when i heard a loud snap and discovered all four of the corner adhesive “holders” had snapped off (presumably one started it and pulled the others along). To be fair the TV back is not entirely smooth - it’s a 65” Sony Bravia with a criss cross plastic back so you’re losing just a little bit of surface area for adhesion where the pattern is. But there’s no workaround for this. I was also surprised that the strip is just slightly too large for a 65” TV - the ends of the strips were hanging down at the bottom of the TV. I’m going to have to take this back to Best Buy and see if i can get any kind of refund without the original packaging that went into recycling a week or so ago. This wasn’t ready for market - a rare miss for Hue with me.

Pricey but impressive
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you also consider the cost of the Hue Sync Box (along the with Hue Bridge) to have this work with any HDMI device, this can end up being a pretty pricey ecosystem. If you're already intertwined in the Hue ecosystem though, you can get away with just purchasing this lightstrip and hooking it up with a computer (Windows or Mac) and using the Hue app to get the same experience. The original lightstrip I got from Best Buy was unfortunately broken out of the box (part of the lightstrip wasn't showing the right colors) and I had to go through Hue to get a replacement.

The top of the line for TV lightbars.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this in conjunction with the Phillips Hue HDMI Sync box and it works wonderfully. The diffuser spreads the light in a beautiful array of colors matching the screen and is very responsive.

Wonderful, if you can invest in the HDMI Sync Box
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a fantastic set of lights that pair well with movies, tv shows, and games. Unfortunately it’s useless otherwise without that feature, but youll need to invest in the HDMI Sync Box to get the best use out of it, but if you can afford it, its worth doing. Setup can take roughly five minutes or so depending on how accessible the back of your TV is at any given time.

If your main input for your tv is a PC, READ
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hue play hub currently is required if you want to turn an HDMI signal into RGBCT goodness via this Hue Strip. BUT if you already have a PC you can simply download the Hue app, and use your PC’s resources to make this Hue Strip react to both on screen colors or audio with low latency. Regardless of using this for it’s intended purpose, I would have boughten this Hue Strip even without the live color changing features. It is incredibly bright and primarily turned on behind my TV displaying just solid colors.

Great when sized for the right size tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easily installed behind our 4K tv. The hardest part was hiding the power on the recessed power outlet, but once that was worked out, this looked wonderful. Much easier to install and use than regular light strips because it is fitted to the size of the tv formed corners but still flexible to place exactly as needed. I’m combination with the hue sync box, these lights synced to movies or music really add to the entertainment experience. Not cheap, but if you don’t mind the price these are great when used size matched to your screen.

Worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product. It pairs to the hue bridge and Hue HDMI Synch box flawlessly. The effects are obviously eye catching. Everyone who has seen my set up is impressed and I only have this gradient light strip and two hue bulbs in two lamps next to the couch. Movie watching is stunning and playing XBOX games are fun. The Philips Hue eco system is pricy but I have no regrets. I also didn’t buy all the products at once. Either pace yourself and pick up one item each month or save up to make the big purchase. Either way I enjoy the effects these hue products have.
