Bad power supply
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great when it works. Faulty transformer. Had to purchase new one on top of an outrageously priced light

Pricey but fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These lights work as advertised, they look great and the colors are pretty accurate. The only down side ive found are the 3M mounts have come off, even after cleaning the surface with alcohol to maximize the bonding. I have secured the mounts with hit glue and no issues since.

Hue - extras cost $$$
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought this was a great item but turns out on top of the couple hundred spent on just the light, you have to spend a couple hundred more for it to be able to copy TV lights and have special effects.

Terrible.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can I curse here? Because that’s what mounting this atrocity made me want to do. The included mounting hardware is almost necessary, but complete trash. Doesn’t hold in place...complete headache. Once I finally duck taped my light strip in place, I powered it on to find dead spots and shorts. Philips is sending a replacement out, but seems like that may take months to arrive. I have over 50 Philips Hue products in my home and none have been a terrible as this one.

Problems
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didnt really like it, i paired it with the hue black box and for some reason when i turn off the black box or the t.v it never turned off. Only way for me to turn it off was the app. If everything worked alright i would recommend it to a friend but it could of just been me.

Returned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was excited about this but having to pay an additional $200 for another piece of equipment to make the lights work ruined it. Found an alternative that I love and didn’t have to spend $400+ for some background lights.

Not Worth The Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product does not do any gradient of lights unless you are using it for your computer or you purchase an additional $250 Hue HDMI Tv Box. There is no functionality in the app to have the strip due multiple colors. The only way to do multiple colors for this light strip is if you purchase the Hue HDMI Box, or have the app on your computer and use it specifically for your computer. All in all, the naming for this product is misleading as well as Philips on the functionality of the product. Oh yeah the last kicker is Philips said they will look into adding multiple color control for one strip on the app, they said this back in 2020, 2 years too late.

Good lights; terrible, horrible software
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent strip of lights, the software it requires is absolutely a nightmare and gives me constant problems. It’s frustrating that this requires so much extra hardware sold separately but I understand the tech aspects.

Disappointed!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are several parts that plug together. The one that goes into the top of the box that sticks to the tv is easy to break. I’ve had it less than 5 months (only opened and used for 3 months due to moving into née house) and I have to buy a whole new light strip because of that one part. When it did work, it reset itself often causing a lot of time to get it back up and working. It was awesome…when it worked…just couldn’t always keep it working. It might give it one more try.

$500 Garbage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phillips Hue is the worst immersion lighting system ever made. Customer service is useless. They help 0. The lights will not sync to anything. You need to purchase three separate pieces of equipment in order for one light strip behind your tv to work. It was 4-5 hours of setup time trying to reset and pair and wash/rinse/repeat the whole process. It was miserable. Im stuck with this garbage.

Don’t buy the hype
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth the price. Doesn’t have that wow factor for the price (I had 4 strips prior to this and 4 bulbs. I had 1 strip behind my TV, 1 bulb to left and right of TV. And other strips in near distance. Those effects were bigger wow factors

caution
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.lights are great. quality of connector is bad, breaks every time. buy the strip only if you dont mind replacing it once the tiny little connector breaks, which it will, friction, gravity, not later, soon, breaks, its about 1000x more difficult to install than opening a toy from toys r us

Poor mount craftmanship
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mounts refuse to stay stuck to the back of the tv. cleaning the surfaces and applying new adhesive also does not work as the light strip is too heavy. It falls off the tv all the time. This light strip was damaged twice beyond repair just from falling to the floor. The power adapter looses connection where the light plugs in after it is pulled out from falling. Exchanged product twice.

Takes too many items to make it work
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to get two different hubs to have the lights sync with the tv. It is not worth the money
