My wife wanted this and I was on the fence about it. I was wrong. This makes the new TV so much cooler, it adds to the immersion sensation when watching shows and movies. Plus it gets you in to the Philips Hue ecosystem which is pretty neat. Takes some setup to get it configured, but after it is set it works flawlessly, so cool. If you want to up your home theater game, get it.

This bad boy brought my dead tv entertainment area back from the grave. Like a phoenix it is reborn, with all it's Glory.
Beware if you are going to buy this for yourself you will also need a Hue bridge which is the only way to access the light bar via phone app. You can change the color with that. The colors are awesome very bright and beautiful. But the light bar will only change to one solid color, you can't have multiple colors like a sunset effect of peach or pink on the top part and purple or blue on the sides.
You will also need a Hue sync box, to get the color changing effects that project the colors of the tv. You can use a app on your computer that can be used as a alternative if you don't want to buy the sync box. But you have to watch the movies using your computer, than connect it via HDMI or whatever to your tv or monitor. This app is only compatible with the Hue Bridge 2.0 not the 1.0
And lastly the Hue sync box has 4 HDMI inputs and one output to your tv. You will have to use your blu ray, or gaming system, or HDMI fire stick to get the color changing sync effects. this light bar will not work on a smart tv. Repeat the apps on your tv will not get the color changing effects. The media or games has to be ran through the sync box than to your t.v.
After all this that I didn't know to begin with I still love it it's pretty awesome. Fire pit screen savers are way better, or anything fire is pretty awesome as well as all everything else.

Love this with the sync box. Integrates with the other philips Hue lights. I was using just regular bulbs for the top sides and the “hue Play” for the bottom sides so 4 bulbs all together. This takes the place for the top of the TV fits a 75” TV perfect colors are bright and vibrant. Noe i use the “hue Play” light on the floor behind entertainment center as floor level shooting up. The 3 together works great. Just a bit pricey but easy to use and everything still on one app.

Great quality strip. Really captures a lot of of the TV colors. I only wish that it was longer so that way you could get the bottom of the screen.

I remember when the strips we’re thin little 3m tape flimsy stickies. this is so much better! what an upgrade!! It takes just a few minutes a little longer if you’re tv is a little larger as we had to take it down from the wall mount. But applying the mounts and sticking it on was effortless. So easy to do and the strips/lights are as vibrant as ever!

This was my second purchase of the gradient lightstrip. I have the 55 inch version and recently purchased a 65 inch tv, it was a no brainer to get the lights to go along with it. When used with the sync box it adds a whole new level of immersion to movies and games that cant be beat. Pricey but i definitelt recommend for the avid home theater enthusiasts

I am a bit of a Philips Hue nut. So as soon as this option became available to replace the three play bars I had mounted to the back of my TV, I jumped at it. Can't say enough of how easy to install and use the gradient strip. Being able to do more than one color is amazing and truly creates some amazing visuals. It's pricey but I don't regret it.

Love it. You don’t need a Sync Box if you have certain newer model TVs like Samsung bc there is a sync app that you can purchase directly on the TV. Works perfectly with gaming consoles and streaming apps on the TV as well.

It adds another dimension to watching movies. After using these for a while it doesn’t feel right watching anything with out them.
They are too expensive and you have to be careful with the connection between the strip and the circuit board box, it is a little flimsy especially at the price. I have 2 strips, when I was moving one from one TV to another the circuit board box opened. I put it back together but the lights wouldn’t work after that. I tried to get a replacement box from Philips but they don’t sale that particular part. If you purchase make sure you get Best Buy protection because Philips is less then helpful

Although pricey, This is the best Lightstrip I've tried in terms of quality and getting the most ambiance. Unfortunately the first one that was delivered to me had a faulty corner which made the one corner always have Green LED's. Luckily I bought it from Best Buy & they have wonderful customer service. They sent me the replacement first before I had to send the faulty one back.

I use this in conjunction with the Phillips Hue HDMI Sync box and it works wonderfully. The diffuser spreads the light in a beautiful array of colors matching the screen and is very responsive.

So cool! Colored light surrounds your TV to match what you're watching. Really enhances my viewing experience. It's expensive since you also need the HDMI Sync box, but if you can afford it, it's totally worth it. One other downside is that it only works through HDMI, so it won't work with native smart TV functionality. I use the new Chromcast with Google TV.

I really like the colors with the gradient lightstrip. It's an expensive solution when combined with the HDMI sync box but it works well with movies and music. It works best with a light colored wall behind as the colors will be less dynamic on a dark wall. Fortunately, I already planned to pain the room lighter.

I love this light nice to be able to do multiple colors and If you have a hue ecosystem or a sync box it’s even better a bit pricy but definitely worth it

Awesome colors. Kinda difficult to setup with the Sync box but I blame the box, not the lights. After a couple of weeks the adhesive came off my TV and I haven’t figured out what I’m gonna do to fix it yet, sad.

The lights are a natural, next step in adding to your viewing experience. They can be subtle or enveloping depending on how you integrate them. Makes your screen size seem larger and immerses you in what you’re watching. You need to have the Hue Sync box to really show them off.

This would have been a perfect rating if not for the ease of installation. The lightstrip is not as flexible as one would expect like the previous Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance Lightstrip. It came with plastic “corner guides” which allows the strip to fit snugly when it goes on the corner edges of your TV, but since the strip is so rigid and “uncooperative”, it tends to snap out of the gap where it was suppose to be in and ultimately it just hangs wherever it wants. My TV has an uneven backside so the strip cant even lay flat on the back panel of the TV and makes it is so difficult for it to be held down even if you apply a double sided tape on it. I would say the previous Hue White and Color Ambiance Lightstrip was such a breeze to put on that it makes you wanna forget about the missing gradient feature it lacks that creates the stunning visual effect it when you use your TV for viewing or streaming music.

Love it. It’s bright and colorful. Works well for my room and entertainment area. Wouldnt buy again because the price with cheaper just as good alternatives but not gonna knock the rating for that. Buy it and you wont regret it.

Bought this alongside the new sync box 8k and it works flawlessly. The only downside is that the strip doesn't cover the bottom part of the tv if you have it hung. I bought some hue play bars to fix that problem.
