We had recently purchased Echo from Amazon. Standing by itself, there are a lot of fun things you can do. We wanted to try something new and we decided to have her control a couple of lights. I know, pretty lazy, but it was fun. Now, when we say, "Alexa, turn on lamp one" the light comes on and she says "Okay". It's hilarious, I know, pitiful. Anyway, the directions with the Philips lamps were simple to follow and we were joy lighting and darkening within less than a half hour. By the way, this setup entertains our granddaughter who enjoys being bossy, ha-ha. It's what we wanted and we got it. Simple and straightforward. The lamps are LED based so we expect them to last for a very long time. I recommend the product wholeheartedly.

There is something to be said for a product that just works. It was an easy install and it can be accessed via the app or voice controls. Telling my phone to turn off the lights is awesome!

A good starting point, easy to operate and install

I use these lights with Alexa on my echo dot and it's so convenient. Brights lights and they have a dimmer, soo cool didn't know I could do that! Setup took 5 minutes so simple and easy

I originally bought these for my aging parents home. My father had cancer and it was a trying time for everyone involved. I can't tell you how much these came in handy when my mom needed to check on my dad in the middle of the night. With these she didn't have to go fumbling in the dark trying to find the lamp or a light switch; all she had to do is talk to her Alexa or reach for her phone and BAM, the lights were on. I wish they had these when I was working late night shifts, because with the app, all you have to do is schedule your lights to pop on at a certain time or even with the sun goes down and they do it on their own. I love these!

I bought this kit along with an Amazon Echo Dot to replace an X10 system I was using for the lights in my bedroom that had stopped working consistently. Initially I had some trouble with the second light bulb being recognized in the Philips Hue app. I ended up having to remove everything and start over from scratch after physically moving both lamps closer to the bridge. After doing that and getting them set up, I was able to move the lamps back where I wanted them. Even though sometimes the lights show as "unreachable" in the Philips app, they still work fine by voice control. Perhaps I will experiment with re-positioning the the bridge. Despite the occasional "unreachable" status, it's been a little over a week and I have had no issues. Love being able to turn on and dim the lights from the bed with my voice and Alexa... even easier than reaching for the remote when I was using X10! I have since added a color bulb for another room. The color bulb is a fun novelty, but too expensive. I will be buying more of the white dimmable bulbs as I catch them on sale.

We were pleasantly surprised with how easy the Philips Hue hub and bulbs were to set up. I love the fact that the lights can be dimmed and programmed! We are going to get more soon!

I hooked these up to my Amazon Echo and now i can walk into my bedroom and say "alexa, turn on my dining room lights" or "alexa turn on my living room" (i . I can even say "alexa, set my bed lights to 50%" and they dim. If I am away from my house for the night (or multiple nights) i can switch lights on and off from my phone so i looks like someone is home. I have it set to an alarm that has them turn on on weekdays at the same time my alarm goes off so that I have light as well as sound to wake me up (and because i get up when it is still dark out, i can see where i am going) It also has a function that when you walk into the house (basically when your phone connects to your home wifi) it will turn on your lights.

The Phillips Hue kit works great. I connected it to Alexa so I can either use my phone or call out to her.

This product did not disappoint! Works like a charm with Siri! Geofencing could use some tweaking so it will be smaller in radius, but it sure does put a smile on my face to come home and the lights are ready for me. Light intensity is just right for my needs. I have it in ceiling and lamp. Already planning to purchase more!

Installation was super easy! Works perfect with my apple home kit. The sweetest thing is that you can automate the system so the lights will be on when you are home, etc. Very nice product!

These lights are just about perfect. My only gripe is that you cant change the temperature of the lights. I get that they aren't meant to change colors like the other bulbs but it would be nice if you could change the temperature of them so that you can have either yellow light or white light instead of yellow all the time. Other than that, super easy to setup, apparently last forever, protection on the bulbs is super cheap so you can just get new ones after a couple years, easy-to-use app once you pay 5$ to unlock all of the features, integrate your entire home with the bulbs and control them from anywhere! I really don't know why I didn't switch to these sooner. If you're a techy these are definitely for you!

They’re great and well worth the money! They also have the additional entertainment value in my household with my older parents learning to work them (“ALEXA I JUST WANT THE LIGHTS ON PLEASE,”.....”I’m sorry, but I can’t find a device by that name”). That being said, they’re super easy to work from the app and Alexa, it just takes time to learn the phrases like any product for Alexa. You can also work them from any number of smart devices (phones, watches, etc.) at the same time from anywhere. Great product and helped lower our energy bill (forgotten lights can now be double checked on phones from anywhere).

Good kit to get you started in the world of smart lights. Lights are great, the dimming feature is great. Also connected to IFTTT and have the porch light come on at sunset and turn off at sunrise.

I like the ease of setup and connecting to my network. Turning lights off and on using Alexa or the app is fantastic. I will be replacing all light bulbs in my home in favor of hue LED lighting.

I'm just beginning to setup my home to have smart home technology. This was my first purchase along with the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot. It's a bit expensive to do all your lighting so you have to pick and chose which lighting would be best to have on smart home automation. Since this comes with only two bulbs, it worked perfect for one room. I need more. You need the Hue Bridge to make it work with these Hue Bulbs. Once you figure out how to set it up in the Amazon Alexa app, it works great!!! I can now turn on/off and dim these lights using my voice commands. I'm looking to get at least a couple more light bulbs for my bedroom and my entry hall and I'll be set for a while... amazing technology!!!

I bought these for my team as a holidy present. They were very easy to set up and also tie in to the Alexa or the google mini. I'm addicted now and bought another set that changes colors.

Great addition to every house. Setup is quite easy.

It's nice to be able to control your lights from your phone or to be able to set routines to turn off automatically after a certain time but I hate that I cannot connect to the hue lights if I'm not on my local wifi unlike google's nest devices. Also, wish I had the multicolor bulbs. But overall, it doesn't hurt to have bulbs that you can control remotely.

Very good product. Works well and is easy to setup using the app. Total setup time for two lights was about 20 minutes. It also integrates with Amazon Echo well to respond to voice commands.
