This was a breeze to set up. Love that you can add up to 50 light bulbs. The app itself could be a little more user friendly

Really enjoy this product to control indoor lighting. Makes all involved lights intensity controllable (dimmable) by voice control. Can also control on/off function in all rooms from one location.

This was the first purchase for my alexa and the beginning of my smart home. I am so happy I went with the Hue because it was very easy to setup and use and is very reliable. In comparison to a few other brands that I had to purchase to get specific lighting, the reliability and ease of use is top notch as I have not had to reconnect or sync any of them since install whereas other brands seem to lose connection or not sync properly with Alexa on a regular basis.

This is a good inexpensive setup and is hard to beat when it comes to price. I would have given it 5 stars but the geofencing is spotty and the fact that the hub has to be hard wired to your router is a downfall.

The setup is really easy and we needed only one bridge. The lights sometimes get disconnected and it's not the easiest to get them back but overall we are happy with the purchase.

The Hue system is a classic example of technology that improves your life around the house, and you wouldn't know you needed it until you tried it. Being able to control lights while on vacation, automating lights based on time, and even having the lights automatically turn on when you come home all are incredibly useful. I recommend pairing this with Amazon's Alexa hardware as well.

Love our Phillips hue lights. The lighting was a more soft warm white versus a cool white or a daylight. (Just to keep in mind.) wasn’t a deal breaker at all. Love paired with our echo that we can say turn on lamp 1 or both to 50% and such. The only reason I don’t have it 5 stars isn’t a real deal, just worth mentioning. We in our home had to connect the Hub with our router which is down the hall maybe 30 ft away from the bulbs. Connects fine and easy but you will need to be around your Alexa and this hub. I was alone and was running back and forth for a minute to press this button or hold that button. Just worth mention to set the hub where you can get to it easily.

Pretty easy to set up but app is really buggy for IOS and Alexa/Echo. I have them for living room and patio lights. They are great for when you're out of town...Overall OK... I would purchased more..

I love these - I wanted to turn on/off my lights remotely and be able to control them from a smart assistant like Google Home. What is best about these lights is the sheer amount of integrations they have - that's what makes these better than another brand. You can use them with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Logitech Harmony, Smartthings, or even with Google Wifi/OnHub (in any browser, you can permit even guests to type in on.here and control certain smart devices).

Wanting to have the ability to turn on lights in our home from where ever we are was appealing. The system was user friendly and easy to get going. We liked it so much, we bought another kit and a number of lights to add on to both systems. My one sad point to make it the difficulty putting both systems (2 separate homes) on the same Hue app. Going online and searching allowed me to find an app we could get allowing us to have both systems running and accessed.

It's a "Starter" toy; so don't expect too much

Yes, it's a starter kit. So don't expect to much unless you are going to add more on this, like multiple color LED or white ambient LED. I had thought about buying Philips Hue with multiple color LED but I decided to buy starter kit with white light. However, White light is not actually white, which means it is not like daylight or something. It's yellowish and a little bit dim for people like me who have weak sight. So be aware of that. I don't think I need Multi-color LED. I'm not a college kid who throws parties every week or flirts someone by showing off my geek tendency. I think about expending the system for Need, so it's enough for me. One thing you should know about it is if you planning multiple controlling devices like Amazon echo, iPhone, Apple TV, and/or Google Home, then you need to choose which direction you want to go for you home automation system. For now there aren't many but going to flourish real soon. I use Google Home, Echo, and iPhone. I had to figure out how I could control homeautomation system with all device I have. So I came down to Philips hue starter kit for lights system because all of my gadget can control Philips thing. But if you collect different base systems from here and there, then you are going to face to use different controllers every single time and the base system consuming your real property soon. Next step I am going to add with Philips Hue is White Ambient LED, which is unfortunate that I couldn't find on Bestbuy store in my area. I wanted to see how bright it is. And the price, I guess, is reasonable compared to other multicolor LED - but I am looking for Thanksgiving day sale for those. Reasonable but still expensive.
