This system gives users the ability to control their lighting from a phone, a tablet and of course the switch seamlessly while connected to home network. However, that's barely the beginning of the systems capabilities. It can track your device and turn on whatever lights to have selected upon your device's arrival, It can be programmed to operate on a schedule or it can randomly operates the lights when you're away to appear occupied. Add all that programmability; remote operation, dimmer, schedules, timers and more to an estabilished lighting brand...it's a must have in today's household or small businesses.

I bought these for my home, I programmed them for my animals since I work late - eventually plan on getting more. I work late so saves tons on lights being left on all day.

Overall it's a nice starter bundle for getting going with the Hue system. I wish it was a bit more open to using other devices, but I'm happy with the Hue items I have now. Setup went fine, no issues. I have the two bubs that came with it connected, plus three lightstrips in the kitchen.

Loving the lights! Only issue is with Google home. Some times it won't turn on all the lights.

It's simple to set up, just follow the directions. I like that it works with both Siri and Alexa

After receiving an Echo Dot for Christmas, I bought this set to establish some home automation. Installation was a snap. I put the bulbs in some lamps, connected the hub to my router (which took the most time, based on my router's location, rather than the product itself), and installed the app onto my tablet. I can now turn on the lamps through voice activation. I plan to get more bulbs to incorporate throughout the house.

The Hue connection to our lighting system was a good purchase. Our lights now have the ability to dim and it is certainly a convenience to not have to walk around turning on the lights we want we on when we leave the house. It would be nice if there was timer feature, so that you could tell Alexa " turn the living room on to 50% at 10PM" etc. They should also make clearer that you need access to a direct USB hub on your router...it would have been nice if they disclosed that it is not wi-fi connective. I now have no more ports on my router, and eventually will need an hub expansion adapter.

I bought this simple starter pack and then some additional bulbs according to inspiration. The hub is running three outdoor lights (porch and coach lights) and four indoor lights. I'm not running any elaborate light shows or using them to signal my mood. The lights are on when I want them and then off as scheduled. If I want to make adjustments from afar, I can. I could have a lot more fun with these, but I have better things to do.

I would highly recommend purchasing the Philips Hue Bridge. It's a must to get total functionality out of all of your smart lights. It was so easy to setup. I've got smart switches, smart outlooks, a smart thermostat, and by far this was the easiest thing to plug in and setup. This is exactly how it should be when you buy a smartphone product.

Excellent Lighting, easy to install and the hue system is able to link to my smart home devices including my Amazon Echo. Also are bright, without the heat from normal lights.

I'd previously purchased three of the Philips Hue personal lighting kits and found then useful I the areas of the house where I use them. But my goal has been to have more control over my lighting. I found there is a very small learning curve to adding my existing lights and wall switches to the Hue Bridge and I even purchased a couple switches to use with these new lights! I'm very pleased with the entire experience!

This is my second “starter set” and would gladly buy another if the need arose. Easy to set up (I paired this with a Hue Switch from the previous set up) and it does exactly what I want. Kind of like having a cooler Clapper (if you’re old enough to remember those) but with the ability to dim with the switch or your phone. Great product!

This is a great value if you do not already have a hub. App already recognizes the bulb before it's out of the box. If you have a bridge already just buy single bulbs.

Wanted a basic lighting system which I could control via the Internet while I was away from home to deter house break-ins. This system does the trick; light intensity and on/off can be observed and controlled through the app over the Internet. It can be programmed for these features and additional lights can be added as desired. This is an easy system to set up, you don't have to be a nerd!

This is easy to set up and easier to use and control with Google Assistant.
