Got Amazon's Echo Dot for Christmas and wanted to use it with home applicances. First purchase was the 2-bulb Hue product. Very easy to set up, and works great. Planning to add additional bulbs to the system soon. Not really wild about having another Bridge in the house (this is my 3rd), but it works without any issues.

My wife and I will get into bed with our light on and then basically Rock Paper Scissors to see who will get back out of bed to turn the light in when it’s time for bed. These lights have made our lives so much easier at night. Yes it helps make you more lazy but who cares? Great product!

Very easy to set up and use. Bulbs are a bit pricy, hopefully they will last a very long time. Some frustration with our hallway light. Alexa often doesn't recognize the name hallway light and replies not in our library. I'm not sure if it's because the light has two different switches. When it works properly, it's great!

Loving our smart lights! Alexa turns our lights on and off with a simple verbal or app request. A little tricky to set up but once I figured it out it worked great! The HUB needs to be reset once in awhile but the overall convenience outweighs that minor inconvenience. I will eventually buy more!

Already had a set of the Hue light bulbs and decided to give these as a gift. Needless to say, they're happy with the gift.

I love the fact I can control my lights when I am not home. I can turn on different lights at different times so it’s not consistently at the same time like a timer. I also turn them on when I am almost home so I don’t have to walk into a dark house. This product is definitely worth it.

I currently use these as a passive security measure. I have my lights coming on and off at various times to appear as if someone is home. I'm anxious to see what else Philips develops to expand on these.

They connect easily to WiFi and your smartphone! I like that! Can turn them in and off from anywhere! Great when not home! Can turn on lights when arriving home to ease walking up to the house. Can set timers for lights to go on and off at set times! Can dim lights too. Awesome!

I have this connected to my google home and absolutely love them. I have schedules set so the lights turn off when I leave and are on before I get home. If I forget to turn them off I can log into the website and turn them off remotely. Having them connected to google home I can control them with my voice.

I wanted a simple "entry level" into the whole "smart home" trend after purchasing an Amazon Echo. From everything I read, the Phillips Hue Starter set seemed like the way to go. Glad I did it. Had a few hiccups working through the set up process and linking to my Echo (hence one less star) - but eventually got it working and love it! I can now have Alexa turn on lights in my living room and bedroom. Just purchased a 3rd bulb. Having fun with it!

These are a great option since the colored light are $60 each. I use these in the bathrooms, hallways,guest rooms and outside. I'd have to be a millionaire to have the colored hue throughout my house.

Works great with home kit and Siri to seemlessky turn out the lights from inside the comfort of your bed!

I set these lights up in my bedroom and use a Philips Hue Dimmer switch to control them. THey're very convenient to have since one of the lamps in the room is controlled by a wall switch and the other uses a switch on the lamp itself. With these bulbs and the remote, i am able to turn both lights on and off together.

Installation is as simple as changing a lightbulb. The hub was pretty much plug and play. I love the dimming capabilities and the option for scenes - I tell Siri goodnight and my downstairs lights turn off and bedroom light turns on. I have had some issues with the bedroom light getting dropped from the hub which is why I did not give 4 stars. Was able to resolve by deleting light from account and resetting up but was annoying.

I bought this starter kit so I can use it as a security feature. Being able to program schedules for my lights so they can turn on and off while I'm on vacation was exactly what I was looking for. Better yet, when I'm not running a light schedule, I can control my lights remotely whether I'm home or not.

Always before we've had the standard on/off light sets with the occasional dimmer. This time we decided to try automating some of our lights. I'm glad we did. The Hue system works as billed and is easy to set up and use. It's even fun to play with the different automations and come up with new ideas for it.

This starter kit is a great introduction to the smart home. It works great with all my other smart devices. Apple HomeKit is built-in and responds to Siri every time. The ability to dim the lights with Siri makes for a great experience. I can also control the lights both in and out of my network using the Hue app.

I wasn't sure if this item was going to work the way I had hoped, but it turned out working exactly as I had hoped. I set my porch light to turn on in the evening and off in the morning. The light comes on even when I am out of town, so I no longer have to leave it on (or off) the entire time I am gone.
