Works perfectly but I recommend you spend the extra dollar and go with color, it is much better value.

It's a great smart home addition. App works pretty well and creating a come home and leave home routine is also great. Voice control still needs work. Doesn't recognize the command "Turn off living room light" on Alexa even though the light is categorized as being in the Living Room. Also can't get it to connect to Smart Things. Fun to use and dimming lights is a huge plus

The house light switch is across the room from the garage entrance and I often trip over my kid's toys when I return home from work in the middle of the night. This is no longer the case. Now the room's light comes on once I'm near the house. This product was very easy to set up using the apple app.

This is a great starter kit. It was easy to install and the HUE app is easy to use. Bulb color temperature is to close to a standard bulb. I’ve had for more than a year and still works great!

Even though this is smart things ready, you still need the phillips hub to work. This was a great price for the hub and two free lights. The lights are generally $24.95 each. And you can buy the hub seperate but for $10 more, you can get the hub and the two light bulbs. Finally after buying three different types of hubs, I now have my whole house set up alexa ready. And the bulbs save on electricity. So this is a plus.

I have 18 of my lights switched to HUE hub, and attached to Alexa. I even have my outdoor lights attached. It is easy to setup routines to ensure all lights are off at night. Or if I need to turn my outside lights on when I am not at home, I can do so from my phone

I had to but a HUB in order to control lights I got free when I bought the Amazon Echo Plus. There's other work around;s to use the HUE lights but they are not stable and a bit tricky to setup. I gave in and bought the Philips Hue White starter kit. When I attached the HUB to my router (does not work wireless at all) the setup was very simple and fast. Now the voice commands and the Android app work flawlessly.

I use Phillips hue bulbs throughout my entire house and wonder why it took me so long to convert. Absolute control over the entire lighting in house. I can be in China or Australia and control what I want on or off. I use it now in conjunction with Siri and or Alexa and I feel spoiled. A must get.

I've tried other light kits and they were either buggy or didn't work consistently. This has worked very well.

Great for someone who likes to sleep or wake subtly. Goes great in combination with apps and computer software to I with the sunset or brighten with the sunset as well. Great mood breaker for a heavy commute day and needing some relax at home or outdoors.

My house is all white and felt cold and sterile. It looks fine in the morning but in the evening,I missed the warm and cozy feel. I got the Philips Hue lights and now with the dimming capabilities available in the app, my home is warm and cozy even in the evenings.

I'm 70 years old and never thought I'd get "smart" lights. But I travel frequently, and I wanted a way I could remotely turn lights on and off in the house to make it look like I'm there. All of this was easy to install and it works easily and wonderfully!

The new Hues smart bulb technogy is fantastic. Very easy setup with the Hub. I combined it with the Amazon Echo and they work perfectly together. You can control the on /off remotely and the light intensity since they are dimmable. This is the easy and inexpensive way to smart home your house.

Very durable bulbs. I dropped them on my wood floor a few times and they didn’t crack or break.

Nothing better then being able turn your lights off fr your bed! I also bought the motion sensors and really havnt touched a light switch since. Nice to pull in driveway, porch light comes in. I walk in door porch light dims and front room and kitchen lights come on. And then as I walk down hall bdrm light comes on. I sit down an they all go out but front room light which dims. If I get up they all turn back on. Heaven

Went to Best Buy to purchase a Hue hub and some multicolor Hue bulbs. But while standing in line, I noticed that they had the hub with two white bulbs on sale for less than the price of the hub alone. So I bought it. Hub works great, and easily synced with the multicolor lights we bough separately. Even on sale, this kit was expensive, but cool what you can do with it. I'll eventually find a use for the bulbs.

If you're looking to go the way of smart lighting by means of the Philips ecosystem then start here. You have to have the hub and it's less expensive than buying the hub and two bulbs separately. It works well and fairly priced.

I love this idea of these bulbs and wanted to go ahead a give it a good rating because I think I must be doing something wrong. The lights go on but don't go off as scheduled in my routines. I went to the store and they were very helpful and gave me some things to try (which I haven't yet) but I love Best Buy and will try the reset today. They also said if it didn't work to call the store and they will go through it with me.
