I purchased this simple kit to allow me to turn on the living room light by voice command when coming in to my dark apartment with my hands full. There are a number of colorful and versatile/creative lighting/bulb choices but I was not sure how these would work, so, I chose one of the simpler kits to start out with. I use one light in the living room and one in the bedroom and now I no longer have to stumble in the dark after turning off the bedroom light (by the wall switch) and then find my way to the bed, tripping on things (or bumping into things) that I forgot were in the way. I keep my bedroom pitch black so it is disorienting when the lights go out. I also went back to BB and purchased a smart plug for a kitchen light and I am now planning to get more lights for my office and additional ones for the living room. With the variable color bulbs I can change the color of my walls and office to suit my mood without painting! Thoroughly pleased with this purchase!

Super easy setup, works with alexa (which is what I originally wanted) and I love the interface of the app. Overall a super easy product to set up and use and super helpful to have all the lights turn on and off without having to ever touch a switch. The scheduled on and off times are also extremely helpful.

Being first to market especially on seemingly untested technology is always unsettling. Overall, Hue has delivered on the value, especially considering the price tag associated with ownership. The smartphone app works well with ample control options. I have 2 sets of lighting that I schedule and control in my house. Although, overall, I have no complaints, I do wonder if it was a smart buy, since life before smart lighting was just fine. What made me buy it? Just plain curiosity I think. If you're bored and want a gadget to play with, why not try the Hue and other smart lighting devices.

This starter kit is easy to install, works well and is a nice beginning to creating a Hue system of lights.

I had been toying with the idea to buy the smart bulbs and hub and finally decided to take the plunge. I am so glad I did and I'm glad I chose Phillips I read the reviews and decided Phillips is the best choice . It was easy to set up and it's so easy to use it paired nicely with Alexa and Apple HomeKit.

Connected to my Smartthings hub and has been working seamlessly. My assessment would be lower with just the Phillips Hue app because it didn't link up well all the time... but the Smartthings App did (which is my one stop for managing all devices). Great light and controls.

Love my smart lights! Super easy installation and has been working great so far. I set up 4 lights total but want to buy a few more and the sensor to add on. Works great with Siri through the Apple home app. It's a little specific on the wording or phrases used when commanding through the Amazon Echo.

The Hue is extremely easy to setup and can be connected to Amazon Echos for voice control. You can set up various routines to have your lights go on and off at various times you select. One neat feature is the Home and Away option where you can have lights go on when you pull in your driveway.

Best part I like is when I come home, the living room automatically comes on when I approach the house.

Great starter kit to learn how everything works. Becomes addictive and next thing you know you're buying more lights.

As I've mentioned for other Hues - I'm a nut for them because of my limited mobility. These are great for 1) price vs variable color & 2) ease. The "white light" from them is variable in tone and brightness. I use them in my dining room, kitchen, & bedrooms. The living room gets the funky colors.

I love smart home devices. It works great with my Echo. I would love to add more bulbs into my house.

Fast setup, and ive had it for more than 3 months . I love it , and turn my lights off from my phone !

I really like the hue lighting system. it is real easy to hook up, you just connect the wireless bridge to your router and then screw the light bulbs in and download the app. You can control how bight you want the light bulb. I use the amazon dot with mine and all you do is have to tell alexa's what light to turn on and off and tell her how bright you want it. The light bulbs are expensive but if you dont mind the price it works very well

I absolutely love these. I am actually going to buy more for other rooms. So simple to set up and use.

This comes with the hub and the bulbs. Great price for both. I would recommend to others. Nice way to get started.

These lights are very easy to set up with the bridge along with an echo or echo dot. I started using these in my living room, and now I plan on purchasing more in the future. You might consider one of the wireless remotes/switches at some point as well just to have the option. Overall I am super happy with these white bulbs. If you want to get into smart Home lighting or simply try it out, this is the best way to do it.
