These are very helpful when you're already in bed and want to turn the lights on or off. They're also great for turning off a light after you've left a room.

Minimal set-up and no need for a hub. These don’t have a “warm” or “cool” setting, but do have the ability to dim from barely visible to substantial brightness.

These lights required downloading the Philips app first and then I was able to use them with Apple HomeKit. I love having this addition in my home and it works great.

This was my first smart bulbs. I am very pleased. It was easy to setup. Having a routine or schedule and a voice command with turning on lights is so convenient. I also have a routine to turn off all lights when going to bed. This reassures that lights are off. These Phillips smart bulbs don't require a hub. All you need is the Phillips Hue app. Once the app is setup and recognizes the bulbs, Alexa can be used to manage the smart bulbs.

They work well and the bundle pricing is nice. Hue is also compatible with a bunch of apps and device integrations. A little pricey, but they are the best for a reason.

I have the hub, color a19s and the whole set up. You need the hub to do all the cool fancy tricks, but it's worth it. I love the fact that when i come home in the winter the lights are on.

    Purchased for my bathroom

The floor plan in my master bedroom is partially opened space. The wall doesn't completely separate the bedroom from the bathroom therefore if someone is in the bathroom, the glaring light into the bedroom can be annoying and vice versa. I purchased the lights and integrated it with my Echo show to have control over the intensity of the light settings and to be able to control lighting while away from home. Alexa voice commands works pretty well after I figured out how to group the lights into the Alexa app on my phone. That was the only barrier. If you already have the Philip's Hue app and installed the lights correctly there, your settings should already be mapped to Alexa. Overall, I'm satisfied.

    You Really Need the Bridge

I decided to dip my toes into the smart lighting ocean with this purchase. With each bulb being bluetooth enabled, I didn't need to buy the Philips starter kit with the bridge device. Unfortunately, these bulbs do not work as advertised. All of them connect just fine to the Philips app, letting you control them from there. But if you want to use voice control (I have a Google assistant), you will run into problems. Only 2/4 bulbs would connect with Google Home; it could not find the other two regardless of what I did. I ended up buying a bridge and more bulbs for a different room... Once you have the bridge it's smooth sailing. I have bluetooth and non-bluetooth bulbs in two different rooms. You sync them to the bridge, the bridge connects to Google Home, and everything works fine. But, as I said, you really do need that bridge.

    Best Buy is Great, but....

Got these bulbs to go with latest generation Hue Bridge (my 2nd hue bridge) to avoid problems and best buy had the same price i have seen everywhere. Even with the Hue Bulb to Hue Bridge they can be ornery to find, pair and control. Not as easy as you think it would be, and im an old Radio Shack Z Wave/ Zigbee veteran. Best Buy is fine but these bulbs are not as plug n play as youd think in 2023. And dont get me started about finding all of them on my full Google Mesh system w 3 nodes, and 3 Google Hubs, even after a month of trying. I can see them on the Hue App but not the same ones on the Google Home App or 3 hubs, even though they sometimes work via voice control.

Hue lights are amazing! This is a 4pk of just the A19 bulbs, and they are Bluetooth, which means you don’t need to purchase the bridge. Lights are easy to establish in the hue Bluetooth app, and easy to discover with Alexa. Took away 1 star because hue lights are expensive.

The bulbs install in about 30 seconds. I now have them all over the house. The dimmer functions from 1-100%. Using Alexa, you can also set them to "half" power or "full" with a voice command.

Excellent lights. As usual, Philips never disappoints. I have them in the kitchen and they light it up very well. Use it with the hub to control with your voice.
