    One of two the these bulbs I purchased was defective. The bulb would NOT pair and stay paired properly, nor would the firmware update complete successfully. I thought the bulb was bricked, but fortunately, I found online a way to reset the bulb using my Echo devices that include a Zigbee smart hub. The Philips Hue Bluetooth app is just OK. These bulbs only dim and turn on and off, so nothing too thrilling about them.

    Other than a small learning curve when I first received the bulbs, these are great. I didn't get a bridge, but you don't need one unless you plan on doing more than turn them on/off or own more than a few. I only have two Hue bulbs, so just using Bluetooth is perfect for now. I'm glad I purchased these bulbs. They've made bedtime more pleasant.
