The Phillips Hue ecosystem has its advantages despite its price, but this is not the place for that discussion. If you are getting a smart lighting system for the first time, do your research on the different smart lighting ecosystems before committing. If you already have Phillips Hue, I have to admit that I have more fun playing around with different color settings than I thought I would, especially in a room with more than one colored light. Most of my Phillips Hue lights are non-colored because I thought the colors were just a gimmick. For example, areas with a Hue motion/light sensor can be set to give off warmer and darker colors in the middle of the night when everyone else is sleeping.

An occasional glitch with Alexa but that’s with any technology. Love that they work and they are bright. Trying something new with the ones that change colors. Too soon to tell.

Works with Alexa right out of the box

They were able to sync with Alexa right out of the box. I had no issues with these and enjoy playing with different color combinations.
