These lights are great, works with Siri, love the different colors. I can also setup when I’m away to randomly turn on and off.

I took these out of the box, screwed them into my lamps, attached the hue bridge to my router, downloaded the Hue app from the apple store, and, bang, I was making my living room into a color wonderland. This takes nothing away from the Hue to say that getting the Google Home to play nice with the Hue and my Wemo switches is another thing altogether. We're at the beginning of home automation and I love that I'm at the ground floor or interactivity.

I love the lights and colors. My only problem is the app isn't very user friendly. That's the only reason it's not 5 stars. I am looking for a good aftermarket app.

It's a great starter package to help you get started with your smart lights around your home. The colors are bright enough to give an ambiance feel to a room. Philips has done a great job in building the features through the native app (or even the Google home). If you're not interested in colors, I would recommend getting the white ambiance package to give you different shades of white. This will do the same, but also give you different shades for colors.

I have had an Echo for more than a year, and was wondering if it was ever going to be “amazing”. I jumped in Small with smart home devices with smart plugs to use with some lamps in my house. I stopped in to Best Buy to ask about Apple Watches and ended up talking about smart lights. I was impressed and excited at the possibilities. I bought the starter kit and have not stopped buying smart bulbs! Now all of my ceiling fixtures have smart lights in them. Absolutely love it!!

Lights are perfect but not 100% reliable. Yesterday there were acting up for about an hour, but then fixed themselves (I was too lazy to reboot/disconnect, etc.). I think i triggered it by using my HomeKit and philips hue app simultaneously but still it was kind of disappointment and I’m starting to think maybe my set is defective... won’t return unless I face this issue again.

You can pair these with Alexa, Apple home, and Android. They can be set at just about any color and brightness.

These Hue lights were very easy to set up through my phone app and with Google Home. When I get ready for bed at night I just tell Google that it's time for bed, then automatically my Living room lights turn off, my bedroom lights turn on to my pre progammed dimmer setting. In the morning I tell Google "Good morning" and the lights come on. I can change the colors whenever I want, either through the app or asking Google to do it in a complete rainbow of colors. Very cool stuff.

Really like the lights and colors are awesome. Wish you could sync with music without using a computer. Very nice for ambient lighting and powerful enough for normal lighting as well. Wish it was a little less expensive but overall happy.

The Philips hue is a great product. The only challenging part is set up once you figure out the light bulbs are numbered differently. I do recommend changing the names so that it is easier to use with Alexa.

Philips Hue overall they are awesome, Easy Setup, Reliability(if proper WIFI Setup), and they work instantly, whether you use Homekit, Google Home or Alexa. However, please note that the Color Bulbs are only good for Accent Lighting. They are very Dim and costly for the price. I would any day take LIFX Color Bulbs because they are bright, but they are very unreliable, primarily because of the WIFI Protocol they use and direct connection to the Router. I like the approach of Philips to use where lot of companies promote "No HUB Required" concept. I am currently using White Ambiance ones from Philips and they are great. So use these only if you require Accent Lighting.

If you haven't tried smart lights you should simply do it with this kit. The only problem you may find when setting up Philips hue is that Sometimes addition lights may need to be manually added. Other than that you'll enjoy all options available through the app such as scenes and automation. If you have Alexa enabled device at home you can also add philips hue skills and start controlling your lights by voice. It works pretty well.

We have only used 1 light from this kit because it says you shouldn't use it in a completely enclosed fixture, which most of ours are. We like the light itself, lots of color options. However, Alexa can only change it to a few basic colors.

My family and I are having a wonderful time experimenting with these lights. We've placed them in various rooms of the house and have been working with the Philips Hue app. The setup process was very easy, the bridge and light bulbs required updates (which took FOREVER), but so far so good. Looking forward wot integrating with Apple HomeKit over the Christmas holiday.

Smart lights are handy and fun. Colored smart lights are a bit of a waste, in my opinion. While it is nice to occasionally (while watching movies) change the light color, it's a feature we definitely don't maximize in our home. Pro Tip: These are MUCH easier to use if you have an Echo or Google Home device. Having to open the app to turn on/off the lights is a drag.

After 2-3 years of wanting philips hue smart lighting I bought it. Now it has been over a year of owning it and everyday I am so happy to have it. I don't always change the colors but the simple perk of being able to turn off the lights from my phone is perfect for me. It also helps lessen my sensitivity to light when I have a headache by being able to dim the light or change the color to one less harsh. It was worth it!

Best home investment I've made in years. If you spend any solid chunk of time in the home, you should grab a set and maybe a smart speaker to connect with them. Perfect lighting & atmosphere creation in almost any room. The more of them you get, the more incredible the atmosphere you can create! App is solid & reliable — good UI Lights are bright, sorta heavy, and run a little hot (only the wifi module at the bottom, not the glass). Excellent color choices!!
