I know that there are cheaper alternatives out there, but I do love my Phillips Hue. I have them installed in my Living Room, Family Room, Kitchen, Bed Room, and even have on on my front porch light. I have them all linked with Alexa and love being able to walk around the house turning them on or off or changing the color via voice commands. Once you download the app to your phone you even have the option to control your lights from anywhere. The app also has a feature to turn any light on and off via a set schedule or just set it to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise according to your location. Only reason I do not give it five stars is because the price.

I've purchased the lights last week and my husband set them up right after we got home. They look beautiful, however, they are not bright enough to light a room and be the only source of light. I don't know how many you should get to get the light as bright as in commercials. Still, they look cool and create an atmosphere. We use an app to control them from our phones. So far so good!

I love the App and the lights are exactly what i wanted, works with Google home great.

I would have rated the product 5 stars but my only issue doing that is Google. The product was purchased for the benefit of working with my Google home. But when I tried to connect and the connection kept failing and I called Philips for help. Philips' tech support was great, they were very patient and knowledgeable with trying to troubleshoot the issue with the failed connection. But in the end it was determined to be a well known problem on Google's end and Philips was unfortunately unable to resolve the issue. I eventually found on Google's end a work around to finally get my Hue bridge to work with Google Home after hours of troubleshooting. It was frustrating to say the least for a person like me who's pretty tech savvy. Just be aware that it's highly possible you may run into the same issues and that Google since last year knows it's an issue and they are still working on it. If you do run into same issues try this: you will need to unlink and re-link the Philips Hue service: Open your Google Home app and tap the “+” Add button in the Home page. Tap “Set up device” then “Have something already set up”. Tap on Philips Hue / Unlink and repeat the steps from above.

I have been using these for several years now, purchased some additional ones recently as well. They add nice ambience to the home, plus eliminate the need for timers on lights when one is away. The capability to vary colors in a set is welcome and overall I have found these a must have for my home, easy to control from IOS devices and third party devices from Google and Amazon. Recommended!

I love these lights. I connect them to my amazon echo and can control the lighting with my voice. I’m also able to turn the lights on for my pets through my phone if I’m away. I can also choose a color and intensity of the light. The lights are supposed to last a long time (~10 yrs) so although the price is a bit high, I think they’re worth it and I plan to purchase more for each room in the house.

Set up was a cinch. The install was even easier. The color customization is limitless with the ability of customize each bulb to a different color. I also like there are preset color ambiance or ability to save a custom one. The only compliant is without a separate purchase of a remote dimmer, one must pull out a smart phone to even just turn on the lights. A separate dimmer control is a must buy.

I originally tried LIFX bulbs because I wasn't thrilled about the idea of a hub, but had way to many problems with them and took them back. Bought these instead, and couldn't be happier. With the hub, it makes the setup of adding more lights much easier, and I really like some of the built in themes that come with it. Very simple integration into my Google Home environment as well.

I got these for Christmas. I didn’t know I wanted them. However, we have them in all of our lights in our living room. We also got an Echo Dot for Christmas. It is very convenient to walk in the room and tell the Echo to turn on the lights or turn off the lights. I wasn’t sure about the colors, but you can turn the lights blue and it makes it easier to see the TV while still light enough to do things.

Phillips Hue lights are easy to setup using the Hue app. The lights are fun and easy to use and can be changed to any color and brightness up to 800 lumens. Using the app, scenes can be setup. There’s several preset scenes, but you can add your own. I’ve setup scenes for different holidays. There’s also third party apps to use your lights as party lighting and to match movies and shows on the TV.

Would definitely get more light bulbs! Very easy to set up! Addons are even easier. Yes you Have to sign up for yet another account but I I think it's more so you can get the app on multiple devices. Was not very clear how to set up at bb but once I got it home I was like Oohh. That's how it works! Now I tell Google to turn off and on my lights! 1 starter kit 50 items. Was caught off guard on the price when we started the project. We use them in family room and brings life to our room. Expensive to do an entire house. Updates take some time to complete.

We bought these to replace horrid white flood lights. These made the room much more enjoyable. Present colors let us select reading lights, mood lighting, or dimmed lights during movie time. The app is easy to use and just about every color of the rainbow is possible through a color palette control. It's a little bit pricey, but I still hpighly recommended.

Awesome lights for entertainment rooms. Controlling a whole house of hue lights could become more of a hassle compared to simply switching them on I found though.

These lights have been amazing so far. We purchased about 2 months ago and have seen zero issues. Setup was simple. I recommend naming the lights something simple so you can use voice commands to turn individual lights on and off by name. Hey Siri/Google/Alexa- Turn on my "recliner" light or "desk" or "flower" or "toybox" we used items near the light to name the light.

The quality of these lights is exceptional. I purchased 4 with a philips hue bridge and as far as how they work they are 2nd to none. My only complaint would be the level of difficulty to bridge Alexa and get her to control the scenes that link to the lights. I still haven't been able to do that period
