    The ability to adjust the color and luminosity of these from a phone is great, and that works well, and so I would still recommend it for those who are focused on that. However, for general functionality as light bulbs, they just aren't very bright. If you are using them in a lamp with a standard or even mostly translucent lampshade, they are pretty dim, only giving off a few feet of light. This would be fine if used as an accent light, but for lighting a room, other options appear much brighter.
