I purchased this Phillips Hue Color bulb to replace the basic White Phillips Hue bulb that I started off with the bridge. I don't use it to keep the lights changing with the beat of my music but I do enjoy being able to change the colors and intensity of brightness of this bulb. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to start or add to their Smart Home.

I am slowly but surely transitioning my entire house to these bulbs. They are amazing. I've tried other brands and returned them the same day. Couldn't be happier with these. One thing if you have bad spotty wifi they can struggle. My internet went out for a day during an ice storm. They work weird without wifi only occasionally.

Great for any color, any brightness , any shade, a lot of cool apps

The standard A19 bulb fits the majority of lamps and fixtures around the average house. The Hue system is fantastic with it's nearly unlimited spectrum of colors and light intensities, and the automation is fantastic. The Hue app is great, but if you need more there are tons of 3rd party apps available to do literally anything you can dream up and then some.

So I have my apartment done up with hue lights from the hue white bulbs all the way to the hue bloom and lightstrip. Love every addition but hue lights are definitely pricey. If these were the same price as the the hue ambiance, I would have done the entire apartment with these but I can't muster enough courage to drop that much money on my lighting.

After buying the Hue starter pack with 3 bulbs I was hooked. Controlling your lights with your smartphone isn't something you think you need, but once you have it you wouldn't want it any other way. I like the different recipes available, in addition setting up specific lights to turn on gradually to wake you up in the morning is one of my favorite features.
