So I got 3 of these during the promo where you were able to buy 3 for $99 and I regret not buying more. The functionality is so smooth, easy to connect, easy to use, and seamless with Alexa. Colors are bright, and even with just one bulb you can create a nice scene in a lamp, or whatever you may choose to use.

I have a fair few of these bulbs and the hub in my home... so convenient and the colour ranges are fantastic... great product

Great product. With recent app updates it connects easily to the network. Color options are great for setting the right mood.

Picked up three of the bulbs on sale for $100. At that price, I was able to justify with my wife the desire to make this purchase. At $50 a bulb I couldn’t even convince myself. These bulbs are in the ceiling fan lights in my son’s bedroom. They are also (along with the Hue starter kit I purchased) my first foray into the world of smart bulbs. My son ALWAYS either leaves his lights on or turns them off at the switch, turning the ceiling fan off. Now he (we) can make sure the fan stays on and the lights get turned off. We are just now getting into the Echo Dot, so this will help keep lights off that need to be kept off. I also splurged and got him the color changing lights so that he can play with the color while he games. We can also change the lights to a setting that’s better suited for reading. This feature is one that I am excited about. I can say for certain that as we upgrade our house throughout the year that we won’t put the colored lights in every fixture, but these bulbs are definitely fun to have in a couple of fixtures or lamps to create a fun ambiance.

The hue color bulbs are great. You can set the color to any color you want. I’ve had fun making themes using various colors.

Have other Hue bulbs, but this 3rd generation bulb is much brighter and the colors are deeper. Good addition to smart home.

I purchase two of these bulbs as a Christmas gift for a friend. Presently I have five Installed in my house which I purchase last Christmas. During the entire year they have been must use as regular white bulbs. They are mostly operated through Alexa and set to turn on upon approaching my home at night or if a motion or switch sensor is triggered when the SmartThing is active. I enjoy home automation, especially the security aspect which doesn’t require any monthly monitoring fees. Good product to have, but at a high price. That’s why I give a rating of 4 stars only.

These colored light bulbs are a big hit with my kids, who are able to turn their rooms into colored wonderlands before bed.

These bulbs can be fun additions to your home. You will need an existing Philips Hue Hub in order to interface with the bulb. This bulb allows changing of colors as well as white temperatures. The color reproduction is pretty accurate, but it can seem washed out if there is sunlight in the room. You can also use the wakeup feature in the Philips Hue app with more success than the standard bulbs. The obvious con is the $50 price for each individual bulb. While at first I thought having colored light would be awesome. The more I use these bulbs I find that I do not use colored light as frequently as I would expect.

$50 is a little pricey for a bulb, but I bought it to entertain the grandkids (Ages 4 and 2), and it worked! They love it!

love Hue color lights. I’ve installed this all around my house. Very efficient and bright when you need them and colorful

Ability to change from colors to daylight to soft white on just one bulb is amazing. Really adds to the mood of any room.

My daughter loves the philips Hue white and color smart LED bulb, especially the ambiance the makes her room so colorful.

pardon the pun - but I just can't mask my enthusiasm for this product. The lights, the ability to change color, the scenes, the potential! The only downside is probably the price point, but once you save up, it brings a elegant touch of lighting to an often overlooked aspect of your home - albeit a very big part.

Excellent and accepted of most other made products as well. Not roped into one line of devices. Again great functionality.

So convenient and easy to use whether you connect it to Alexa or use the app on your cell phone you won't be disappointed.

The color changing lights are great for setting up a holiday themed area. We set these up on our porch for each of the holidays, using purple for Halloween and red and green for Christmas. Otherwise, they are great for color addressable programmed lights. These are great, but you will certainly pay for them.

It’s a good bulb. Lots of color, good brightness, but a bit expensive in my opinion. I know there’s not much else out there so maybe as more competition gets to the market, the prices will get more realistic.
