This is my second setup with hue, this time for my office. So easy to use, and great for working at a college where people constantly forget to turn off the lights! The colors are great for creating an atmosphere that is both cool and inviting

Bought these to use in my home theater. Exceeded my expectations with the ease of creating scenes. Bulbs are very responsive and various 3rd party apps allow you to create lighting similar to what you would find in a disco. Pricey but recommended.

Pricey lightbulbs, but so great for parties and mood lighting. Philips recently made desktop software for Windows and Mac that can enhance movies and music. Fantastic product, especially for people using other IoT devices.

Bought these for my son's room, and hooked them up to his Alexa. He can sit on his bed and tell Alexa what color he wants his lights to be, and they have so many colors he can constantly change them and not repeat himself.

Purchased on sale and love the ease of installing the bridge and bulbs. I'm spoiled by the dim features. Can set at any % just by asking Alexa. Have had for about 6 months and am extremely happy with the purchase!

Very good bulb could change color easily to create your own ambiance

I already had bought a Hue starter kit containing a bridge and three color bulbs. I was happy enough with it that I bought another color bulb and a white ambiance bulb. All these bulbs were second generation. I was generally pleased with them, but I noticed the colors looked much better when I set them to shades of reds and purples. Greens and blues were pastel shades that looked washed-out. This bulb was my first purchase after Philips debuted the third generation color bulbs. The box sports a logo on the front promising "richer colors" — and I am happy to report that the colors really are more vibrant, especially the blues and greens. If you are beginning a new Hue system or adding to an existing one, I strongly suggest choosing the third-generation bulbs.

These have better colors than Gen 2, but 800 lumens is a little dim.

This bulb pairs with smartthings hub which is why I bought it. I'm not sure if I would buy colored bulbs again because it seems a bit cheesy...but that has no bearing on the bulb itself. It has a wonderful spectrum of colors and they are easily changed. I use my Amazon Alexa to command it on, off, dim or change colors. If you are seeking color. I recommend.
