Added this build to an existing smart home controller by Apple HomeKit. Works very well.

This system is very versatile. I have them lining my mantle and in various lamps around my house. The colors provide a unique ambience, and it’s all voice controlled via Alexa or Siri. Even used the strips as under cabinet lighting in my kitchen. They are great fun.

Works great with a wide range of color options. Creates a different feel for your room.. Just wish the price was a little better...

I bought a 2nd color bulb for my granddaughters room. I already have one in ny living room. Easy to connect to the Hue app. Color choice is amazing. You do need a hub to use this bulb along with the app. I have never had an issue with connectivity.

I had a Gen 1 hue color bulb and the blues and greens weren't the best. I saw these were supposed to have improved colors so I gave it a shot. The color on these blows the gen 1 bulbs away. Now I wish they'd do some kind of trade up program so I can swap my other bulbs for these..

These lights are simply amazing. They can make any atmosphere you can imagine. Must buy!

These full color lights are great! It can help set the tone for a movie or an event! And they are so easy to use!

This light is pretty good, could be brighter compared to LIFX bulbs. Still good product

We have the Philips Hue kit so we purchased this bulb as an addition to our smarthome.

Not cheap but worth the money! I like that a hub is needed for these bulbs. You get much more out of them through the app. Flick the light switch off and back on again for normal white light and dumb proofing the fam if you know what I mean...haha.

Took less than a minute to get my Philips Hue setup. They look great, and I can have any color I want. I schedule them to turn off in the morning and on at night, now I never have to worry about switching my lights on and off, it just happens... it's magical!

Definitely an improvement over Gen 2 and1 with respect to the improved colors. You get the real color green now instead of a yellowish tint. You also get a real blue. I wanted to see for myself if the improvement was substantial. The color yellow needs to be worked on, but I'm not sure if changing all the bulbs is worth the hefty price. Philips should offer an exchange program to upgrade. The real improvement is with the Philips Hue ios app over the last couple of years (ver 2 app design launched in 2016)

This my first attempt at "smart lightning" and I am hooked! I installed these in an overhead fan enclosure in my living room. The initial setup was a little confusing with the Hue and HomeKit apps. Once I figured out that you want to set them up in Hue first, then HomeKit will pick up the settings. I also added an Amazon Echo dot to be able to do voice control and they work just as well with Alexa as they do with Siri. Since then, I have added on several more rooms including the kitchen and dining room with Hue lights. I have even added one to my front door light which had a dusk to dawn sensor that no longer works. I set the bulb to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise, and it works flawlessly! The only setback is that my wife is not used to having the light-switch on the on position all the time and sometimes will turn them off there instead of using Siri or Alexa voice control..

This bulb was recognized right away by the hue bridge. it's nice to have colors, which can be used either to change the light temperature between day/night but also a good amusement in parties by using any color that you want.

I love the Philips Hue lights. I started out buying one bulb and have bought several more products because I love them that much! These bulbs can go anywhere in the house to add a little color and ambience. I have a feeling I’ll be buying more :)

I've owned the 2nd Gen bulbs and the greens and blues were terrible, especially for the price. The 3rd Gen bulbs fixed these issues. You can actually make many more colors which are more vibrant and true. It's a shame the 2nd Gen could not make simple colors that it claimed.

I love the colored lights. I have an overhead 3 light flood in my den. I use reds and orange to create a dungeon atmosphere when I'm playing RPGs on the Xbone. My sister in law was In the bathroom and she screamed when my daughter switched the colors of the lights!

A fun and easy way to add color to any room, with a great selection of bright colors, but many options in shades of white as well. There are also preset moods and scenes in the Hue app. Easy install, seamless setup, and it really shines when connected to Alexa.

The do exactly what they claim to do. I have had only one time in 6 months in which I've had to reset the bridge. It also plays well with Alexa and Siri if you take the time to set it up properly. They are pricey at 50 a bulb if you don't get them on sale.
