Fun to use

It setup easily with the proper additional pieces. It was fun to show others how the verbal command controlled the light. Not long after the purchase the bulb is not working with the verbal command but it does by manual adjustment. This might be a good item for certain applications. I'm sure I don't use it to its full potential

It works, smart? not so much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you have a lot of these sooner or later you will run into the bulb retaining memory of an old set up. depending on whose software you use; HUE, Google, Amazon; this can be a huge problem. Other bulbs can be reset like you phone. Turn the light on/off for a set number of times and it is like new. Not Philips HUE. When it retains memory some software refuses to let you change the name. I guess I would tell someone to try it only because the whole industry is in the dark ages. PS: I programmed industrial machines for 15 years.

I am soooo spoiled now!

I previously set these bulbs to turn on and off using the Hue App and I've never had to manually turn my lights on or off again! It's so nice to come home at night and see my lamps already lit and welcoming me home. No more entering a dark house and fumbling in the dark to turn on the lamp.
