Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Hue White A19 Smart LED Bulb's ease of use, brightness, and compatibility with smart home systems like Alexa and Apple HomeKit. Many appreciate its affordability and the level of control it offers over lighting. While some users experienced connectivity issues or slight delays in response time, the positive feedback on ease of use and brightness outweighs these concerns. The quick and easy setup is also frequently praised.

    Great basic white controllable bulb

These White only Philips bulbs are the most reasonable price and if White only will fill your need, they work well and provide typical and adequate light. It seems like they are at least equivalent to a 60W incandescent bulb. Very easy to set up and they all work easily with and well with my Google Home.

    Bright white lights

If you only need/want white lights these are the ticket, I'd recommend these over the Hue Lux white. They are brighter and have a true white tone as apposed to the soft yellow. I have these in my entrance and kitchen where we prefer a brighter feel. We have the Lux white(soft yellow really) in the hallway as those lights get set to a very dim overnight mode which is easier on the eyes and more relaxed feel at 230AM. These only cost 15$ as well vs the Lux which are 20$.

Great Bulbs if You're into Automation

I'm a tech guy, and I love home automation. Philips has developed a major following with the Hue line, and there are a lot of 3rd party developers making great apps, and other automation electronics, that integrate with the Hue setup. I've had various Hue products, and my first one was a little over 2 years ago. Now, I can't live without them.

I recently upgraded all of our lights to smart lights and have not regretted it, nor my choice of going with Philips. I had originally started with another brand, then bought a Phillips to compare. Needless to say, I’ve returned every one of the other brands bulbs. The app is easy to use, works with my Alexa perfectly. I have several routines set up, they all work great.

Only smart when you need it to be

I've been building out my smart home for some time now, and one thing that you quickly learn is that things you've never given thought to will now become something that you have to monitor. I own Nest's thermostats and smoke detectors, Philip's color Hue bulbs, Belkin's WeMo switches, as well as other items. Each of these was once just pieces of hardware that came with my home. Now that they have some intelligent software baked inside them, I have to troubleshoot them every now and then when there is a glitch. But with this bulb it just works like a normal bulb until I need it to be smart. When I flip the switch, it comes on. Period. Then, if I need it to flash in the kids rooms when they have their headphones on it can do that too. They easily tie into the smart home when you use apps such as IFTTT. They are not to steep on the wallet either. They may be much more expensive then than the normal incandescent light bulb; however, these last a long time. Each time a bulb goes out I replace with either these or the full-color version.

The Phillips Hue system works flawlessly. Super simple to setup and control. The bulbs work exactly as they should and the price point was the push over the edge into home automation I needed. Anyone can get started with these bulbs.

    White HUE Lightbulb

I didn't want to splurge for the full color versions, so these white HUE lights were exactly what I was looking for to place in my guest bedroom. At a significantly cheaper price point, they work just as well as the more expensive color versions and integrate with the HUE system flawlessly. Can't wait to continue to build out my HUE smart light system!

After getting the 4 bulb starter kit and loving the control of my lighting, I had to purchase 4 more bulbs. I control the bulbs with Alexa at home and my phone when away. It is so nice to be able to walk into a lit room instead of tripping over things getting to a light. I plan on getting more bulbs.

I really like these bulbs. They are fairly bright. I am using mine in an outside porch light and even though Philips dont reccomend using them outside I have had no problems so far. It would be nice if they would make a brighter version for outside. It is so nice being able to turn the light on from my phone when getting home. They also work great with Amazon Alexa. For these to connect to your devices you will also need to buy the philips hue bridge. I reccomend buying a starter pack that includes the bridge along with a few bulbs for a better value. I highly recommend this product.

The white lights only for the Hue are great for the price! They do a great job for just areas that you want normal light. We have ours in our entry way as you come up the stairs and they are great when we get home. For the price they are great, but prefer the color ones

I have several of these bulbs now and they set up in seconds, are easy to use with the Philips Hue App or with voice control using Siri. At full brightness they are very bright but also dim to candle light. Great value and product

These lights are a great simple smart light. They dim and can be turned on and off with voice commands to your favorite smart home device like google or alexa. I also like that we can change them while not at home.

This is super easy to set up and really bright. Plug in, turn on, then use app to name the light. Just make sure to buy hub too if you do not have on yet. Also, Philips adds/simplifies app pretty often too.

This is the cheaper of the "smart bulbs" You can change the brightness level, as well as, have it turn on by a timer and controlled through Alexa, your iPad, or smartphone. These particular bulbs DO NOT support color.

Recently, I replaced my bathroom vanity lights with the Phillips Hue lights. They work great. I can control how bright the lights will be and if I want to use one or all of them at the same time. Great investment!!!

It's great to be able to set timers and brightness levels for the Hue LED lights throughout our house. The random on and off feature allows the lights to come on at different times each evening.

We use this with the Amazon Echo to turn it to different light levels and on/off. I think it would be even better with more bulbs to do entire rooms. Philips Hue has their own app as well.

These bulbs are great. They work very well with Alexa using either the Echo Dot or Sonos with Alexa. Bulbs can be dimmed or brightened. The light is bright but not harsh. They can also be programmed through the HUE app or Alexa to dim at certain times to improve sleep quality. I have had no problems with the lights failing to work properly and Installation and activation is simple but tech support is knowledgeable, if needed.

Great product. The apps that go with Hue are what drive the value of this product. You can create scenes for different times of day and different rooms. I have my living room and kitchen lights set to come on at 0530 hrs when I get up to go to work. I come out of my bedroom to a nice glow instead of stumbling around and being blinded by the first morning light. I also geofence the lights so they come on when I drive up to the house and turn off (if accidentally left on) when I drive away. I also use Siri to turn all my lights off at night when I go to bed.

I have 4 of these in an office with a high ceiling in a track fixture. I like the bright white color, and the fact that I can use my app to dim the bulbs. The only con is that I have to reset my connection to the hub often. I end up using the wall light switch like a traditional bulb unless I need to dim the lights.
