Smart bulb is not detected via smart home apps. Very hard to setup and configure. Would not recommend.

The unit worked after set up then it stopped following the schedule. Reset and unplugging did not correct the problem.

I don’t recommend it to anyone just because you need a hub to actually use the lightbulb

Having the app doesn’t work for bulb. You must also have another specific hue item.

First off... I wish I had gone to BestBuy to ask more questions when I had decided to change to LED Bulbs. Now, if your thing of a connect home and want to use Siri then your going to want to check out Philips as they not only make the bridge which will connect to many devices but they also make a lot of the devices but mostly I purchased this bulb because BestBuy had it for a excellent price, it works very well with the Philips bridge! The Philips system including their bulbs are Great! But you'll have to buy the Philips system and bulbs from BestBuy to write your own review to let me and others know what you have to say about this home automation system.

Easy to add to Philips hue bridge or Philips wireless dimmer(s). Only disappointment is that it does not have the great "warm glow" dimming feature, like many Philips conventional LED bulbs do. So when it is dimmed, it is a bit "cold" looking and does not have the warm look of a dimmed incandescent bulb. BestBuy omitted light output in their specs. At full brightness, it is rated at 806 Lumens.

These little gems really are awesome. I hooked these up to my Amazon Echo and now i can walk into my bedroom and say "alexa, turn on my overhead lights" or "alexa turn on my mood lights" (i have the color ones as well in various fixtures around the room and call them my mooood lights) and boom they come on. I can even say "alexa, set my bed lights to 50%" and they dim. Even without the echo they are still quite awesome. If I am away from my house for the night (or multiple nights) i can switch lights on and off from my phone so i looks like someone is home. I have it set to an alarm that has them turn on on weekdays at the same time my alarm goes off so that I have light as well as sound to wake me up (and because i get up when it is still dark out, i can see where i am going) It also has a function that when you walk into the house (basically when your phone connects to your home wifi) it will turn on your lights. I am sure there are many more uses and functions I have yet to discover... im still playing though.

Great bulbs and love the new, lower price. Put them into my lights, turned them on, and they were ready to rename and add to groups in the apps. I would definitely recommend these bulbs

The Hue line rightfully has a great reputation, and the white only bulb fits in nicely as an entry-level smart bulb. Setup with the Hue bridge is easy, but the bulb will also integrate with almost any major z-wave controller (Amazon Echo, Samsung Smartthings, etc). The brightness is equivalent to your standard 60w LED bulb. The color temperature is soft white, which in reality comes across as a warm light yellow. If you're looking for a cooler daylight color, then the more expensive White Ambiance bulbs are what you need.

I has stayed away from hue mainly because of the $60/bulb cost. I figured the color changing would be cool for a couple of days and then I'd never do it again. The white bulbs bring it online with other similar products like wink. The turn off and on and dim no problem. It's HomeKit compatible so I can use Siri to control them.

These bulbs are working well with the Echo and Hue wireless dimmer switches.
