Bought based on reviews. I am able to turn the lights on/off and use the timer from the app. Been trying to get the alarms to work for several days now with no success. Have tried reading blogs and other reviews to figure out the issue with no luck. Hue tech support not available on the weekends so will have to wait until Monday to see if I can get this fixed.

I purchased an Amazon echo, and I wanted to control my lights through it, so after a bit of research, I purchased 4 of these open box bulbs. Setup was easy using the Philips Hue Hub, and linking it to Echo was just as simple. I can control them by voice at home, and using the app when away. I didn't need or want the thousands of colors, so the white only was perfect for me. I can dim them either using Echo or the phone app - and Philips just updated their app, making it more intuitive than before when you've got several lights on one switch. I can now turn them on individually or all at once.

The Price is right and the functionality and performance is better. It is a very good product at a very affordable price.

The description on this item is wrong there not white there yellow. Yes they're dimmable and they work great with the any hue hub. Best Buy change the white to yellow light. Misleading !

Used in my bedroom so when I am falling asleep I don't have to get up to turn off the light and I can fall asleep right away.

They fit some of the spots I didn't think they would. They are actually quite small with tons of light. Love the system & using Siri is the best! I will be buying more.

I didn't want to spend money in Philips Hue Hub as I already have a Samsung Smartthings hub. Despite I had doubt it would fully operate with my hub and despite the Bestbuy staff are not knowledgeable enough to confirm it would work, I took the risk and using the Belkin WeMo Smart LED Bulb profile, I was able to set it up directly and I can switch it on/off and dim it too.

Got the sensors for the kitchen and garage stairs. I just walk in then the lights come on. I chose in the app very easily to turn off in 2 minutes. I put one bulb on the front and back porch, with a timer that turns on at night, then off in the morning. Efficiency. Everyone would love this if they tried it, very simple to use.

I rent; this limits a lot of what I can do to connect my home before my things start being called "fixtures" and my landlord tries to keep them, when I move. This was the best answer because of the impermanence to the home itself. Also, the conveniences of Hue Lux are many. You can set them up to turn on as you arrive home so you're never walking into an empty home. You can tell all lights to turn off after you leave a set "geofence," which is more or less a circle with your home at the center and a radius of your choosing. Great power saver. Finally, I love remote control of my lights. When I'm out of town,, I'll randomly turn on some lights each night to give the appearance I'm home. This is also useful for tricking your girlfriend into thinking your house is haunted. The lights are VERY responsive, and suddenly everything in your home becomes dimmable! I haven't tried any recessed lighting because this home is for sale and I have a spare BR30 which can replace the burnt out bulb in the kitchen I can't wait to see what they cook up next, especially with IFTTT in the mix.

For Christmas I got the Philips Hue Starter light kit that came with two ambiance lights. I would say these are more for the bedroom since we wanted to use them in the living room. I noticed that the ambiance lights say 800 lumens. So we went and bought the Hue A19 because it says it lights up to 840 lumens. It is brighter than the ambiance but was hoping for more light. The light it gives off is good. It works great with our Google Home!

The light output is much lower for these new A19 bulbs than I expected. Probably since they aren't true white bulbs. The BR30 bulbs work well. The shape and size of the bulbs are very good. I am going to return for another product. I also read that the new hub software disables your use of other brands of bulbs, so I may be returning all my Philips products I purchased for the holidays.

These lights work great with my Phillips system already in place. They may not have color, but they are cheaper than a dimmer switch and I can control them from anywhere!

I purchased 5 of these from Best Buy, easy to set up with Echo. Great price and quality. The Hue app is also very helpful to use these lights as well.

I have several of these light bulbs all throughout my apartment. This was an addition to a desk lamp for working. Love it and love all of them.

It’s very bright and it doesn’t break so it good for kids.

Took less than 5 mins setting everything up very hassle free. Highly recommend this product! Works great with my iPhone & Amazon echo

The app interface needs some improvement. However, overall idea of smart light is pretty cool. It does great job. You can set your own routines based on time and location. Bulbs are really good gives decent enough lights.

Just adding more bulbs to my apartment, once you test the HUE you cannot go back I love my system.

very nice to and easy to connect, works very well with amazon echo. you just need a smart hub

I thought this was just for lazy people, until I got it. It's works seamlessly with my phone.
