The bulb is easy to pair and this new bulb is a little bit brighter than the older generation bulb. Easy to control through the app.

Overall, the price of the plain white A19 bulbs are not bad, though still expensive compared to the price of a conventional LED bulb these days. This bulb is much less expensive than the color bulb, so it is easier to purchase lots of them for around the house to make the house lighting interactive. The fade-in and fade-out feature does work, though it is not as smooth as the more expensive white or color version. As with any smart-lighting system, keeping the bulb powered is required for it to function. (All of the lights will turn on when power is restored after a power outage) Thus, some duct tape to cover the existing standard switch is a must, or those who are less familiar with your smart-home will power down the lights rendering them useless. (temporary, but still annoying) Look for bundled packages as the price per bulb will be better.

Works great with with Alexa and an existing Philips hub. Simply plug and play if you have an existing smart light setup.

Perfect addition to my hue system,. The white lights are priced accordingly and are perfect addition to the color changing lights we already have. Great value

Just plug in and it just works. Control with your smart phone or Amazon echo. Works indoors and outdoors. Soft pleasant light. I will definitely buy more.

If u are looking to turn your home into a smart house and need a lot of bulbs, these are fantastic if u cannot swing the extra money for the others. They are capable of being dimmed to a particular percentage and works fantastic with everything

Best smart bulb out there. I have these connected to Alexa and IFTTT, i,can schedule,lights, set lighting for different applications, use them in remote locations and run them with voice commands, the host of possibilities is nearly endless.

This item works well and was an easy addition to the Hue app. I am having a little trouble getting Alexa to turn it off. She easily turns it on.

Changed my view on home automation. Now when I enter my home Ladened with packages since I have this running through they Alexa and have the app programmed when I'm within a block from home my lights come on or I can do it by voice commands.

This bulb is cheap for what you get. It's a great investment for a smart home and it does not disappoint. It is plenty bright compared to a traditional lightbulb, as the slight difference is not noticeable. For under $15, this can really improve your day to day life.

I am very pleased with how easy it was to setup the Phillips Hue bulb working with the Hue app and Alexa. It was super easy and works great!!!

The Philips - Hue White A19 Smart LED Bulbs are great and easy to set-up, They do require a Philips Hub and the Philips App to complete the set-up, It is probably best to buy a starter pack that includes the hub and then you can add new Philips bulbs using the same hub. The Philips App is free. The bulbs/hub can be integrated into your Google Home devices and that really makes them handy. This particular bulb is white only, but you can get Philips bulbs that will change to any color you want...for more bucks, of course, but nice to have. I got the color starter kit with the hub and have added a bunch of the white bulbs for areas where I just need a regular bulb. I'd have given a five star rating, except for the expense. I do recommend these bulbs for ease of set-up and so far they have been absolutely reliable.

Got a great deal on these. Warm incandescent color, dimmable. Plays nicely with iOS app. You need a philips hub though! Doesn't work directly on wi-fi

This came with an Amazon Echo Plus bundle. Set up was really easy, simple to rename the bulb. It works within a range of 10-100% brightness

Simple, easy setup, white only, & phillips hue compatible light bulb that works perfect in spaces that do not need the color option (i.e. My dining room).

I've been using several of these bulbs in lamps and letting Alexa (Echo Dot) control them. As far as light color, I can't tell the difference between the tungsten bulbs they replaced - except the Hue LED's are dimmable which is nice.

These things are much cheaper than they were at first, making them worth buying at this point. They've also started to remember whether they were on or off after you lose power, which was a weird and unexpected problem when I first got them. I guess they got a firmware upgrade? Strange thing to say about a light bulb. Anyhow, these have extremely granular dimming, with even a 1 percent change being noticeable, and the respond very quickly to Google, unlike some of the cheap competition.

First tried wall switch but when I opened the wall switchbox there was NO neutral wire which is required. In these older houses they ran a power line thru the ceilings from room to room and only dropped a 2 wire down to each switch therefore no neutral. These bulbs are the perfect solution. No neutral at the switch required. When setting up, I couldn't get them to connect with the Philips Hub. Each bulb has a serial # on its base. Once I entered these #s the bulbs have worked perfectly even with my Amazon Echo. Great alternative to the wall switch.

simple to set up and great lights. i did not like coming to dark home now with the routine set up they come on automatically and shut off at set time
