These are pretty awesome, even if they're a bit of a novelty item. I got the starter pack for now and my living room couldn't be more colorful.

It spite of the high cost this is a very nice home lighting product. Great for setting up timers and I'm sure there is a lot more to discover.

These lights are seriously impressive and the amount of great apps in the hue ecosystem really makes the set. I synced up this set with two of the hue rope lights and use the app IF (formerly IFTTT) to run a lot of cool home automation tasks (like turning on my lights gradually when the sun is coming up). These are definitely a luxury item, but they are well supported and work great.

Works great along with my other hue lights. Will consider buying another one

I love it. Purchase these lights to use with my smart things home automation. I have found so many uses for them that people can't believe it when they come to my house. I have a colored changing weather lamp, A flashing colored take my pill reminder and a gentle wake up sunrise every morning. Can't wait to find what else I can do with them

I had been looking for color changing LED lighting for a while now, and finally wound up buying this product partly due to the SyFy sync app. The ability to change colors, brightness, and mood of any room simply by using your cell phone is great. The price is a little high, however I feel it's quite worth the overall experience to have.

These are really great but very pricy... I love the colors for our bedroom and fun area/2nd living room.

I needed the ability to control four light fixtures in my home theater. These four lights are on the same circuit and when they are on the lights near the screen wash out the picture quality. The Hue system allows me to control each of the four lights individually. The ability to tailor the light from bright white to soft amber or anywhere in between is perfect for my use. There is also a wide range of other colors these bulbs will display and you can even get Apps for your phone or tablet to provide preset or custom light shows. Keep in mind the only way to turn the lights on/off is to use the App. Your wall switch is rendered useless so this may not work for most rooms in your house. But accent lights are a perfect location for the Hue system.

The Phillips hue A-19 starter kit is a great product. I use it as an early morning alarm with sunrise simulation setting. It works great to simulate the sun on dark and dreary days. The varity of colors is also a nice feature & it's easy to set up.

Pro: great for automating lights, especially if you are away from home or want them to turn on earlier in the winter when coming home. Cons: expensive up front cost, expensive to add additional bulbs, has its own eithernet connected hub (hope you have free ports on your router), mobile app to control lights isn't user friendly.
